22oz bottle bought from Julio's
Pours a hazy orange color, huge head that fades much quicker than I would have thought considering the size, leaves a thin cap on top, not much lacing.
Smell has a large orange zest aroma that essentially dominates, touch of a yeasty aroma in the back, hop presence is mute but not surprising what they're aiming for.
Taste starts out fairly clean without much going on, drinks more like a boring Belgian pale, sweet malt dominates with a funky yeasty beasty aftertaste, carbonation is high and helps lends a dry finish that keeps it refreshing.
Interesting farmhouse experiment where no additional spicing was added, especially considering the orange I was picking up in the nose, yeast can do some funky things. The beer is kind of all over the place in terms of quality as a result of their process.
