Muddy yellow/beige with a skim and collar of fine whitish bubbles. Sour nose, a bit of wheat and fruitiness, slight husky or grainy character. Acid cuts all the way through the flavour, start to finish. Notes of tart fruit, grains, wheat throughout. Lingering sourness and a bit of saltiness. Light bodied with moderate to high carbonation, a bit coarse. Refreshing, but a bit rough on the palate.

Drank from a 1 pt. 6 fl. oz. bottle purchased at Julio's Liquors, Westboro, MA
Served in a goblet

Ultra pale straw yellow appearance. The liquid was stopped by a bubbly, frothy, one-finger tall, bright white crown. Fantastic retention. The head slowly faded to a lasting film of bubbles. A thin curtain of lacing coated the glass after each sip.

The aroma was pretty unexciting initially. Crisp yeasty notes dominated. Super dry and powdery. As the beer warmed, the nose became more interesting. Lemon notes were detectable. Some mustiness came through as well.

The flavor profile was impressive. Tart, lemony notes were instantly recognizable. Crisp, dry and wheaty. Moderately acidic. The beer was anchored by a pale, crackery malt base. Slightly funky, brett-like notes appeared on the finish.

The mouthfeel was lighter bodied and highly effervescent. Almost a bit Champagne-like. The liquid eventually turned smooth and frothy on the pallet.

Intergalactic Acid may not be one of the more intense Berliner Weiss-style beers on the market, but it was tasty and quite refreshing nevertheless. Available for under $4 a bottle, I can definitely see this becoming a summer staple.

Pours kind of like milky cloudy grapefruit juice.

Carbonation is not as powerful as I'd like it to be. Falls pretty flat after the first couple of sips.

Overall taste is fantastic. Crisp sharp and sour with a biscuit-like finish.

Found a bottle for $4.99 and I think it's one of the best bargains I've gotten in a while.

thumbs up!
