A-The place is tiny. It is laid out a bit like your grandmother's house with stuff packed on every shelf space available...seriously, the place is just an old house converted to store. It works, however, in a cozy sort-of way. There is a selection of nice wines up front and beer coolers stashed in towards the side and back (look elsewhere for the MD 20/20 and Carlo Rossi). They also stock a small selection of high-end and local spirits.

Q-The beers are stored cold, which is good, and the selection is well-curated. You can tell that every beer has been thought about before being put on the shelf. Although there are some harder to find selections, the beers here are not a magical treasure trove or wildly different from other good liquor stores around town.

Ser-The staff are very enthusiastic about their craft (selling beer) and their craft beer. They know their stuff and are willing to help out if you have questions or let you peruse the coolers on your own.

Sel-Compared to the megastores, the selection here is not huge. They have a decent number bombers and 750s for the size of the place, but a smaller number of sixers than even a place like Mondo Vino. However, you can probably find something worth taking home no matter what style or price-point you are looking for.

V-The prices are not terrible, but I found them to be slightly higher than normal. I suppose you pay for good service and a thoughtful selection of brews.

O-A great little store that is worth a stop if you're in the Tennyson Street area or feel like talking beer (or booze or wine) with the owners.

Walking up the wooden steps to this old Tennyson house, images of the Tuscany country side and simpler time come to mind. The place smells faintly of band aids, like a '89 boon marriage parfait, but the good kind, not like that upslope lager that you forgot under the front seat of your car during the heat of the summer. The selection is eclectic, well kept, like the beard of a Denver bartender eager for your approval of his specialty bourbon cocktail. The staff is very knowledgeable, except of the guy that is always there with the weird hat, his passion transcends knowledge, he must live in the basement, subsiding off yeast samples from their carefully curated 'sour' beer coolers. They also have nice spirits, local pickles and other randoms if thats what you are into. Overall, a great shop, up with the likes of hollingshead, stuffed, and westlakeview.

Small, but spot-on selection. This store skips over most the of the stuff you'd skip over at the store anyway. Lots of great, local selection, as well as a nice variety of eclectic beers from around the country and the world. Staff is awesome from the owner to the guys that are always in the shop. Everyone has been super knowledgable with questions/answers (I had a good 20 minute convo about sours with an employee who knew their stuff). I try to make it here more often than not when I'm in the area.

Very helpful, great selection, had stuff other shops were already sold out of, would have picked up more beer if I had room for it all. Would definitely recommend.

Warm, friendly service, and since their remodel, an outstanding selection of craft beer, spirits, and wine. They carry some six packs and four packs, but most of their beer is single bottles and bombers, including several doors devoted to sours and wild ales. They have tastings on Fridays and Saturdays, and their people really know their stuff; stop in for something special or for a recommendation on something new and exciting.

Fantastic place! A good selection, especially if you are into sours. The 'special' stuff sticks around longer here and I appreciate that they don't hide their good stuff in a back room like half of the other places around town.

Extremely knowledgable staff, honestly one of the best the city for beer! I am also into single malts and the liquor guy really knows his stuff and stocks the best in the city.

If I lived closer I would stop in much more often.

The perfect small in size, large in beer selection store.
Run by people who love beer and love finding obscure beers.
They also have wonderful wines and a great selection of local liquors.
Pickles! They sell locally made pickles that are to die for.

Back to the beer. I guarantee that they will have beers you have never had.

Small Batch is awesome. Fantastic selection of local beer and liquor, as well as rare beers, wine and liquor from around the world. When looking for limited release beers, Small Batch is your best bet in Denver. They post all new stock on their Facebook page every week, but if you see something you want, hurry.

The owners and the staff are super knowledgeable, really friendly, and ridiculously excited about their selection. Also, if you're just looking to pick up a cheap six-pack of craft cans, great local selections.

Nice little store on Tennyson with lots of Bombers and 750's.Every beer is in coolers with a great selection of harder to find beer. The employees and owners are friendly and knowledgeable about their stock. The prices are in line with a lot of bigger liquor stores. This is truly a hidden gem of a Liquor store!

A - This was a good little bottle shop in Denver area, recommended by guys at Crooked Stave. A converted house into liquor/wine/beer shop. The wife and I showed up on a Sunday. They only had street parking but it seemed to be plentiful.

S - The guys at front were very friendly. We discussed beers and where we were from.

S - They had a small selection, but I liked they had a fridge dedicated solely to sours and they were the only place in CO where I was able to get some Russian River.

V - Prices seemed typical for the beers I was looking for in Denver.

Overall, nice little bottle shop. They may have some stuff hanging out for longer in Denver, because it seems like a lot of people don't know about them yet. But, a Sunday afternoon spent here and at Hops and Pie was a very good time for me and the wife.

Well, the name says it all. Basically, it's a house with the floor level converted to a liquor shop (not store...that's too "big"). Off Tennyson, just behind--or in front of--De Steeg brewery.

So, a house. Front room is wine, nice selection...nothing really cheap. Sitting/Sun room is liquor. Good stock of CO whiskey and such. Again, no swill.

Around the corner in the back is the beer room Large sliding door stand alone fridge has a nice selection of bombers. Nothing out of this world, but enough to warrant a stop-and-see-what-they -have. All Epic brewery bombers are there, some in cellar storage, you gotta ask for those. Handful of single craft cans for $2 each.

A good local stop, nice a cozy.
