Stopped here to go to De Heeren Van Liederkercke, but got there too early, and wandered down to the river, and found this place that had recently opened. They have maybe 5-6 taps that all had good Belgian beers, as well as 75-100 bottles, so a nice selection overall. They even had an exclusive beer from a local brewery that was basically brewed for them.
It's a local hangout for most of the people biking down the river, and a place for them to stop and get some nice replenishing nutrients from the beer. Everybody was in good spirits and friendly. The owner went on with lots of good conversation. Once he learned I was from the U.S. he dropped a few books in front of me about the beers in Belgium, and we went through a bunch of them. He made a few suggestions, etc. He was very helpful in picking out beers to try as well, and was quite knowledgeable. And the prices of the beers were great, pretty cheap, although I learned a lot of places in Belgium are fairly cheap for local Belgian beer.
They also have a nice patio outside, with nice tables setup, and a grill for summer BBQs I'm guessing. I was very impressed with an unknown new pub in the middle of nowhere pretty much. Next time I'm in Belgium I'm def going to stop by here again.
