Delicious beer sampled from draft at the brewery. Clear yellow pour with no head to speak of. Clean, refreshing taste on the palate. And nice to have a flavorful brew with a low abv to quench a thirst.

Definitely a light blonde, this is a great summer drinking beer. I had it on tap in Denver but I bet it would be excellent at the brewery with the scenery of Steamboat Springs. Not too fruity or bitter, but a bit stronger than a kolsch flavor, nicely balanced. Would be interested to try other brews from these guys.

definitely not the most exciting thing these guys do, but its well enough made i suppose, it just feels uninspired, especially next to some of the other beers in the lineup, which have all been really solid and somewhat inventive. this is a straight forward american blonde ale, with more body than a coors original or something, but looking quite similar. yellow and clear, maybe a slightly deeper shade, but not much head in the ping glass after a minute, although still well carbonated, its just not real attractive to look at. smells fine, fresh, and the ale yeast is odorless and flavorless, so it seems a bit one dimensional with the pale barley malt. very simple, but the first sip demonstrates a little weight to it. its heavier than a lot of these, and i like that in a late winter context. it has a little hop on the back end too, more bitter than a lot of these, but still sort of european in its flavor there. clean in the finish though, despite being a little more robust as they go. a fine beer, but nothing to get excited about. surprised to see this one on tap as often as i do, considering their other offerings are easily superior in my opinion. something for everyone though i suppose. probably best in an interesting food context where you want a beer to stay entirely subservient to the dish...
