Our Red Wheat is a variation of our Honey Wheat. It is reddish copper in color due to a generous addition of colored malts that also contribute a slight caramel taste. Wheat malt is added to make up 50% of the total malt bill. Nicely balanced with a light addition of German Perle and Tettnang hops. A very easy to drink yet flavorful and light beer.

Pours a clear amber color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of sweet malt and some wheat aroma. Fits the style of an American Pale Wheat Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp and low carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, some bread (wheat), and a slight associated dryness. Overall, not a bad beer. A little weak in body, but very drinkable.

A - Poured out a ruby/copper color with a foamy, off-white, two-finger head. No lacing.
S - It smelled of roasted malt and wheat.
T - It tasted of malt and an earthy wheat flavor.
M - It was crisp and relatively smooth. A light-bodied beer.
D - By no means the greatest beer at Flat Branch, but a good brew for those newbies to great beer.

First visit here. After I did the ESB, the Oatmeal Stout, Barley wine and others I began to feel guilty that my wife and her sister were at home without decent beer.
The RED WHEAT is perfect for entry or casual craft drinkers.
Very nice red color and head is retained in the growler.
No striking aroma.
The taste is balance, a well made beer.
It finishes smooth as in nearly disappears!
Combining RED with WHEAT is genius for all the drinkers that want just a bit more than macro.
