It is kind of a summery ale and has a nice foamy head, but the color is a dirty hazy amber. Very little aroma. Flavor is a bit tangy. Not a fan of the corn.

Big thanks to rudzud for sharing this guy, everything I tried from them at The Festival was awesome.

Nice fizzy foamy 1.5 finger head with touches of large bubble lacing, hazy wheat blond color.

Nose is explosive with tropical fruit, musty resin of fresh hop bringing some passion fruit, hint of mango and pineapple, light citrus grapefruit pith, hint of mint, guava too, touch of a blond malt.

Taste is more hop water, fresh tropical fruit hops, with the fresh hop resin must brings more passion fruit, guava, bit more citrus this time with tangerine, peach, generic stone fruit, nectarine, light mango and pineapple, hint grapefruit pith. Light hop oil resin and mild bitterness. Very light sweet blond malt, with touch of grain, but slightly watery. Finish is dry, fairly clean, long tropical fruit hop with tangerine, stone fruit, and orange/grapefruit juice lingering.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, nice carb, little watery.

Overall very nice, just enough malts to prop the hops, lots of citra, great tropical fruit, only downfall is the light watery feel, and the fact that I can't get it here... yet.

So I had the pleasure of pouring next to Gabriel Hill of Bier Factory at The Festival in Portland, Maine. He was sandwiched between Saint Somewhere (which I was pouring for throughout the weekend) and Prairie Artisan Ales, which was not only unfortunate for him as everyone flocked to the surrounding tables but was also unfortunate to all the festival goers who overlooked this small table in favor for the more 'familiar' breweries! A tremendous loss for festival goers, as in my opinion Bier Factory Rapperswil was THE hidden gem of the fest. Gabriel is a great guy and the beers being featured (Blackbier, Big Blackbier, Hopp Schwiiz, and this one) were all top notch and excellent. Incredibly anxious to see this brewery make its stateside debut sometime in October (according to Gabriel that is when the Shelton Bros should have his goods). Its worth noting, Gabriel said they were getting away from the current swing top bottles in favor for caps.

Shared with JLindros and poured into a Kate the Great tulip.

A - Poured a slightly cloudy light straw hue with a nice two finger white head that fades to leave a creamy thin blanket. Quite inviting.

S - Aromas of citra hops, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, almost juicy fruit like aroma. Not much for malts, nice grapefruit rind.

T - Taste is like the nose with very nice citra hops, mango, peach pits, passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit flesh, lingering tangerine flesh (nice and juicy) on the finish. Super tasty and bitter citrus rind finish, just delicious.

M - Mouthfeel is light and crisp, though a little watery and thin. Then again it is on the low ABV.

O - Overall I really, really love this beer. Super hoppy and delicious, albeit on the thinner side. Can't wait to see this and the other Rapperswil beers stateside! If the price is right, I would keep my fridge stocked with this come summer time!
