Poured from a 750ml bottle into a FW Snifter.

L- Hazy, yellow/orange...lots of bubbles here. Small head that never fades due to the ever-forming bubbles.

S- I get a sweaty, fruity kind of thing right off....maybe a sweet tropical kind of fruit. Nice funk. Maybe a little pepper. I really enjoy the aroma.

T- Follows the nose with a little clove.

F- Quite prickly. Very careful with this or it'll explode. Going to take my time and enjoy this one all evening.

On-tap @ the source.

A: Pours a slightly hazed pale yellow with a big-bubbled 1/4-inch thick head which leaves splotches of lace.

N: Floral and citrusy with some funky brett.

T: Mild bretty, floral, mild wheat notes.

M: Semi-moderate body and semi-medium carbonation. Semi-dry finish.

O: Good, but not quite the funk I was expecting.

On tap.

A clear light orange with a thin, off white head. The nose is solid. Bright, rustic Brett character, mildly sulfury , mildly pineapple like, honey, clove, pepper. Yum. The palate opens with a mild fruitiness, hay, clove, earth, pepper, light must, Brett, clove and pineapple. Light in body with crisp carbonation, this beer is great. Nice texture, especially as it warms up.

Two different strains of Brettanomyces, the brewer says. Pale yellow with a brief white head. This is a textbook example of how Bret tastes without the souring bacteria. Dry, but with a smooth malty flavor. Light body, tangy, but well short of acidity.

The Bret give this a dense, aromatic intensity. Meaty with a light fruit touch. Even some straw and the usual pear skins and cidery tang. Dry finish, but not the common mineral and ash overkill. It's so smooth and interesting. An education in a glass, if you're looking to learn something. On tap at the brewery.

On tap for The Bruery Sucreversary held at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA.

Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, spice, yeast, and Brett aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour spice and Brett flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of Brett bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a Brett presence that works well with the base beer.

This pours a lightly golden-tan in color, as seen in the dim light of the bar. There’s a subdued Brett aroma which emerges as it warms. I found the Brett character to come across while sipping, although it passes quickly. Not as pronounced of a funky character as I had hoped for, but nonetheless still an excellent sipper.
