A: Pours a hazy orange/copper color with a one finger white head that dissipates slowly, good lacing.
S: Mostly pine but a light citrus smell.
T: Same as the smell, pine and citrus that is not overpowering.
M: Medium light body, moderate carbonation, and very dry.
O: Very easy to drink beer.

Type: 16-oz. can
Glass: Karl Strauss pint glass
From: Cherokee Market Beer & Wine in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $10.99 for a 4-pack
Purchased: April 12, 2014
Consumed: April 12, 2014
Misc.: Use by June 11, 2014

Poured a caramel, honey murky color with 2-to-3 fingers of pillowy white head. Serene setting, but then moved to a good amount of bubbles coming up underneath the foam. Layered foamy lacing along the sides. Good retention on the top all the way down.

Smelled a pleasant mix of hops. Got resin, rye, citrus (grapefruit, grapefruit rind) and floral. Also some iced tea, caramel, sugary notes, lemon, peppery notes and buttery notes.

Tasted pretty close to the nose. Got resin hops, rye hops, floral hops and citrus hops. Fairly bitter. Grapefruit rind, iced tea, lemon, peppery spices and buttery notes. I do not like buttery notes, but I’ll make an exception here.

Medium-to-light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Longer, slightly bitter finish.

A very good beer and my first from Modern Times. I look forward to trying some more in the coming weeks.

I'm new to the craft brew scene and have been an IPA junky in my short career. I'm an aroma guy first so the first thing I look for is a solid nose. Blazing World NAILED it! Taste is clean yet flavorful. Something I will make sure and keep stocked in my fridge for my daily consumption.

Tall can shared with stillmatic2232, thanks man.

Pours a hazy dark orange, almost red. One inch of head, and a small amount of lacing down the glass.

Smells really, really nice- lots of resinous, dank pine and earthy flavors, almost marijuana like, even. Some grapefruit and orange zest too.

The taste is great, but doesn't quite touch the amazing fresh aroma on this one. The hop bill on this one- Simcoe, Mosaic, and Nelson, is a dream trifecta of hops, and just explodes with flavor. Tons of West Coast style pine and grapefruit type flavors, with a good malt bill as well, some caramel and toast back the huge hop flavor.

Medium bodied, hefty as expected for a hoppy, almost 7% ABV amber ale. Crisp, dry mouthfeel, very drinkable, goes down way easy.

First beer from this brewery- this was quite excellent. Sort of like a Nugget Nectar lite.

A: This beer pours a mix of amber, brown and gold, almost resembles a barley wine, leaves a large fluffy white head that leaves good lacing around the glass, the beer just looks like it has kind of a weird funky color to it, but it still looks solid

S: Much more impressed with this category, this beer has a really dank hop character to it, and it is quite impressive, you can pick apart the nelson, simcoe, and mosaic hops used in this beer which gives this beer a unique smell to it, get nice bursts of citrus, some spice, and a hint of pine, and you can also slightly notice the malts as well, very good smell to this beer

T: Again I am very impressed with this category, it is not very complex, but it is very well balanced and the flavors present in the mix are outstanding, at first I get that burst of citrus, then some spice and piney notes followed with a hint of bready and sweet malts, and a nice lingering light bitterness at the end, leaves your mouth feeling a little dry which makes you want more, incredible flavor profile with this beer

M: I really like the mouthfeel to this beer, it's slightly oily, very light, and very crisp, incredibly drinkable!

O: Little unimpressed with the color but everything else is phenomenal in this beer, must try if you can get your hands on it!
