2014 Release:
Oneida is a vigorously hoppy, aromatic pale ale saturated with Hallertau Blanc, Cascade & 05256 hops, a new experimental variety. A stripped down malt bill keeps the focus on the fruity, complex, pungent hop aroma & flavor.
HOP VARIETALS: Hallertau Blanc, Cascade & experimental Hop 05256
MALT VARIETALS: Two Row & Carapils
2013 Release:
Oneida is Nelson-centric. The dark fruity dankness of Nelson hops from New Zealand give it an uber-pungent aroma, with the grapefruity citrus of Cascade providing a touch of balance. While more aggressively bitter than Fortunate Islands, Oneida still has a light body and moderate ABV. 50 IBU

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Pale golden, hazy body, small ring of white head. Grainy, fruity aroma. Taste is dry and grassy, light citrus. Flavorful but subdued. Solid APA.

Platinum with puffy can-pour head. 4
A touch of honey, peach, lemon sorbet, and grass - all dim. 3.75
Thread of cracker, then grapefruit granata, white melon, underripe papaya, mint, and flowers. 3.75
Light, crisp, oily. 4
I feel like Eureka!'s been around a while, so I'm not sure why this beer is still calling it 05256 (though it does have a July 6 canning date; a full 5 months old.) At any rate, it describes as "spicy and herbal with aromas of pine, mint, grapefruit rind, tangerine, citrus, and dark fruits" - anybody else get the feeling these new hops like to describe themselves as everything, so everyone says, "I taste that!" Another text says peach, resin and tropical, which is more where I'm at: Galaxy Jr., with some of those fluttery oils that the German varieties (Merkur is a parent here) always seem to bring. The whole thing is certainly dinged by time: the hop aroma is not big enough for 5.8%, which is throwing off the balance. But there's a easy quaffing summer beer in there with a uniquely fruity hop profile.
Always have time for Modern Times, even past its BBD. 4

Picked up a single from Craft Beer Hop Stop cooler on 10-9-17 for $2.75. Canned on 6-22-17 and stored in my beer fridge since purchase.
Beer poured golden with a nice white head that is leaving some lacing behind.
Nose is juicy and nice.
Taste is floral with some orange finishing with a rind light bitterness.
Mouthfeel is light and very refreshing.
Overall another nice Modern Times brew. Like the sessionability of this one!

A 1 US pint can with a canned-on date of June 2017. Purchased a little while back from the Brewdog webshop. Described on the label as a sessionable pale ale hopped with Hallertau Blanc, Cascade and Exp 05256.
A: Poured into a tulip. Can-conditioned. A bright, hazy golden hue with moderate carbonation and plentiful fine sediment. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a persistent surface layer. Some lacing.
S: Aroma of light, grassy hops with hints of herbs, hay, floral notes, subtle spice, pale malt, mild grain and earthy yeast. Crisp and dry but surprisingly aromatic - very nice.
T: Tastes of herbal hops with notes of grass/hay, noble hops, spice, floral hints, subtle bay leaf, pale malt, light grain and earthy yeast. Dry, followed by a crisp hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and good body. Could perhaps be a shade thicker given the strength. Aftertaste of spicy, grassy hops, herbs, earthy yeast and pale malt.
O: Rather nice - hoppy and understated. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are stuffed with grassy, herbal hops, earthy yeast and pale malt. Good body. Comes across almost as a hoppy pilsner with slightly enhanced malt presence. Lovely balance; goes down like a dream. Well worth sampling if you have the chance.

Pours a hazy straw out of the can with a decent white head that slowly settles. This is a hopped up APA with a light malt base. Smells lime, grapefruit, tangerine, some herbal, dank, grassy, a bit sweet, some caramel. Tastes of pungent but not very bitter hops with characteristics of grapefruit rind, lime, tangerine, some grass and earth, some dank, a little tobacco, along with bready malt and light caramel seeetness. Finish is on the bitter side. It does not linger. Solid.
