Appearance: Way too much foam, at first, until I settled into a very gentle pour; a huge head covers the clear golden liquid and leaves strands of lace

Smell: Bready and herbal, with fresh cut grass, white pepper and cilantro tones

Taste: Bready, up front, with the grassy edge developing; cilantro and white pepper emerge in the mid-palate and lead to a rather herbal finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: More of an interesting lawnmower beer than a Saison, I am afraid

Thanks, lincolnbeard, for the opportunity

This beer pours with a single finger of head that quickly subsides to a small amount of lacing. The beer itself is a pale golden color with very apparent carbonation bubbles. The nose is yeasty, almost reminds me of nice hefewiezen but also has a nice bit of noble hop bitterness. The flavor is crisp up front with some nice hoppiness but this quickly mellows out to a straw like, somewhat grassy, peppery finish. The bitterness lingers on the palate a bit but in a pleasant way, definitely a yeast driven beer, very nice. Not my favorite modern times beer, but a very good one.

***This beer reminds me VERY much a slightly more tangy version of Allagash house beer.

Really good for what it is. Just an easy drinking beer. sweet, light, refreshing. nothing special here, but a really great simple relaxing beer.
