Pours slightly hazed orange blossom honey golden with a bright egg shell white hued head forms nicely with great retention and intricate lacing layered. Aroma pale malts express with biscuit bread dough hint of herbal and faint citrus hop accents just barely peak through. Let's see how it tastes, pleasant bready quality hints of fruit in the backend clean well constructed blonde ale, it looks like I have to seek out the Truth their IPA gets really solid scores and I love the artwork and color schemes on these cans. More about the flavor, really well built solid hop notes the can mentions Bravo and Crystal hops, I couldn't have picked those two out here but they add to a nice crisp dry finish, there's also some powdered yeast notes on the palate as well. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied alcohol I will classify as sessionable at 4.8% abv this is the no brainer, cruise control drinking beer...I wish my cousin would have brought more than a can from Cincy. He said he tried to bring me more but he had no self control. Overall very enjoyable easy to drink and enjoy, not a beer to overanalyze it is simply done yet really tasty.

12 oz can served cold into a shaker pint glass. No date stamp found.

Cougar is a hazy straw yellow color with thick white head. It settles somewhat quickly and leaves no lace behind.

Aroma is sweet and very low in hops.

Flavor is mild and sweet, low in bitterness, but balanced.

Mouthfeel is light in body and properly carbonated.

Overall a nice American blonde. Every brewery should have a crowd pleaser and this one likely fits that bill for Rhinegeist.

12oz can (no date) poured into a shaker pint glass.

Appearance: Clear light gold. Initial white head died back to a very thin ring at the edge and the barest of skin of foam across the top. A little bit of lacing - small islands and some small strands that would slowly slide down the glass.

Smell: Leafy, cut grass, and grains.

Taste: Crisp with a clean malt up front and the moving into a different sweetness to the malt...honey? Finish is mild citrus with a crisp bitter finish and some more of that grain earthiness that I got in the aroma.

Mouthfeel: Slick and surprisingly sticky. Light carbonation but still a little prickly on the palate.

Overall / Drinkability: Hmmm....one and done I'm afraid. Not interesting enough for me to want another. It's just okay in the end. I had it by itself and it may be better with food. Clashed with thai lime chile almonds....so maybe not with spicy food.

Poured into a pint glass.

4.5 A: Nearly clear medium yellow color. Three fingers of pillowy white head. Retention is very good and plenty of lacing is left.

4.0 S: Dry graininess, wildflowers, spring water, dirty earthiness. Just a hint of floral and herbal hops. Really nice aroma on this.

4.5 T: Big graininess, sweet neutral maltiness. Earth, wildflower, mountain spring. Faint bitterness. Herbal hop flavor. Big flavor, far surpassing what the nose offers.

4.0 M: Light to lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Creamy for the body.

4.5 D: Very solid beer. One of my favorites from RG.
