This one goes down really easy. Nice malt up front followed by some really refreshing fresh cut grass and finishes with mild citrus. I really enjoyed this beer from rhinegeist. Want to try more.

Not bad, but not great. It is one of the many hoppy beers by Rhinegeist.

Another nice beer by the Elm Street brewers...not their best..but even their "misses" are an enjoyable libation.

I really like the complex malt of tea leaves, caramel, barley, grains and bran flakes. The hop flavor is not my favorite as it starts with lemon, a plus, but then tends towards an oniony chive and a light bitter pine. It drinks with very little bitterness or astringent.

American PA brewed with Amarillo, Mosaic, and Cascade hops. Poured from a growler into a Boulevard tulip. Nice light-coppery amber color, crystal clear, and two fingers of rocky white head that is fairly well sustained. Faint citrusy notes of lemon and grapefruit on the nose.

Medium-light body with a moderately firm feel and a nice bitter flavor. Light crackery grain notes up front are well-complemented by American hops. Mosaic makes for a good pale ale and the dry citrus notes make the beer quite drinkable and enjoyable. The hops fad a bit on the back of the palate and the finish is slightly metallic, but the beer is still thoroughly drinkable.

Overall, a very enjoyable pale ale, but nothing truly memorable. The mosaic hops show well in this beer and it's well-crafted. Wonderful choice to accompany you during the NFL playoffs.

Poured into a snifter.

3.0 A: Clear deep orange/light amber color. One finger of frothy off-white head that falls quickly and leaves irregular wisps of lacing.

3.0 S: Herbal and grapefruit hops with citrus undertones. Caramel maltiness with a touch of bready yeastiness.

3.0 T: Light bitterness. Herbal hops with citrus undertones. Caramel malts bready yeast. Pretty much the nose.

3.25 M: Medium to heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. A bit chewy as well.

3.25 D: Not bad, but nothing special. Their other beers are generally much better.

The combination of hops combines for a dry finish.
Color is coppery and slightly cloudy. Slight Citrus Grapefruit and Lemon.

As the American ale continues to develop, the classic pale ale has emerged from a balanced malty sweetness and into a drier and more hop-forward taste. Without pushing into India pale territory, Rhinegeist's Pure Fury shows the next step in the American pale procession.

It's tame amber hues capture the aesthetics of honey, but with a arid, frothy head. A strong hop presence strikes the nose with the citrus peels of pink grapefruit, orange and lemon become laced with herbal and leaf oils and are supported by an early palate of dry graham cracker, pecan and grain caramels.

Dryness ensues upon the middle and pulls the hops forward while suppressing malt sweetness. As the fruit dries and highlights a playfully acidic hop bitterness, it reveals the unsettled bite of peanut skins and toasted grain husk. Growing more herbal nearing finish, the pleasant grassiness of verbena and parsley emerge.

Its bone-dry finish comes after a medium-light taste depredates and ensures a very crisp, very dry and refreshing taste. Intense bitterness treks onward with little rebuttal of malt balance or interference.

This seems a lot like truth, but not so boisterous. Nice pine tones, but not overly bitter. Almost a bit of a citrus thing going on as faint accents only. Fairly easy drinker.

ACBF pour

A-Pours a hazy, yellowish orange hue. Thin, white tuft of white foam.

S-Whoa! There is clearly some intense hoppiness in this brew. Similar aroma to their other beer, Truth. It bold and dry hopped.

T-Assertive grapefruit and grass. Very bitter with coarse, dried pine notes. Very bitter. Light malt gets washed away by the hops.

M-Medium bodied. High bitterness. Medium carbonation. Lingering flavor.

O-I liked this just as much as Truth. This one is a very hoppy Pale Ale that could easily burn out your palate.

Big pine, resin, cannabis, and grapefruit in aroma. Resin dominates, but the citrus is a nice accent. Bready malt adds a savory character. Floral notes emerge late.

Flavor reveals more floral hop character, a bit of grapefruit pith, and a surprising amount of bready malt for the style. Grapefruit becomes more pronounced as it warms. The finish is fairly resiny and moderately bitter, with mint and pine adding complexity.

Very drinkable beer, but there's just not a lot to get excited about.

Total palate wrecker, smells strongly and only of grapefruit. Taste is harsh hops and sour citrus. Mouthful is very thin, I'm noticing that a lot with rhinegeist. Slightly astringent with a lingering taste of aspirin.
