Rare are moments of truth, when you've struck the last match, belting out tunes with your friends, staring deep into the campfire-times when you feel infinite. Our truth is found in the scintillating brilliance of hops. Brewed with a nod to the pacific, hops sizzle with tropical fruit aroma, grapefruit & mango notes and a dry finish.

This is a consistent happy for me. Almost, but not quite obnoxious. Like that one friend you have, who's kind of an asshole but everyone likes him anyway.

(shaker pint, at the brewery)
Bright, slightly hazy orange amber liquid; loose foam that falls quick... Orange grapefruit hop tones on the nose; grassy and floral in flashes... Fruit forward west coast sensibilities; dried apricot or sultana in the aftertaste; mixed herbal/pithy bitterness, moderate, with a subtle spice gradually building... Gets earthier as it goes, with a slowly developing mint note... Relatively light bodied, with a notable resinous film that lends an almost chewy sensation in the aft... Decent IPA; I'd have one when hanging out in the local area, but I wouldn't seek it out at home (2164)

12 oz. can, canned 05/09/23. Less than a month in the can works for me. I don't recall seeing this in my area until now, but has apparently been one of Rhinegeist's line-up since 2013.
Poured to a Central Waters snifter.
A: Nice color. Crisp golden, good carbonation, strong finger of frothy white head, excellent spotty lacing. Has a shot of clarity to it also when compared to these orange juice bomb looking beers that are so churned out today.
S: Subtle aroma. Fresh, hoppy, herbal, grassy. Hint of peppery rye malt?
T: Super crisp, balanced, & delicious. Bready & biscuity, with a touch of honeyed sweetness. Grassy, herbal, pithy, with some hop bitterness, pine, & resin flavors lingering. This thing is seriously balanced & delish.
F: Crisp, delicious, balanced, easy-drinking. Excellent light in body, and dangerously quaffable at 7.2%.
Probably the best beer I've had from Rhinegeist (this is my fifth). Give me this super fresh IPA any day of the week over that hazy garbage.
