I am drinking this beer while in Rome. Poured from a green 11.2 oz. bottle. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, malty. Taste is of malts, white bread, just a touch of hops. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall it ain't bad.

Clear golden color with off-white head. Aroma has mostly a helles style malt profile and maybe some generic, earthy hops. Taste follows with grainy malt, quite clean, a bit of sweetness and just a hint of hops. Light to medium body with crisp carbonation. Overall it's not a bad beer, it's quite clean, but it doesn't really taste like a pale ale, it leans more towards a lager.

Poured into a tumbler from a .33l bottle.

Color is clear amber with a thin white head that dissipates quickly with no lacing. The aroma is German hops - lots of floral and grassy aromas. Just a hint of citrus from Cascade hops. Basically it smells a lot like lemongrass. Flavor is sweet bread and malt with a slight bitterness on the finish. Something metallic seems to be hanging around as well. Body is medium with low carbonation - almost flat. Overall, a very poor example of a pale ale. I feel my ratings might even be too high, but a friend gave this beer to me and I really tried to like it.

Smells like a typical Pale Ale with various fruit notes but with a less intense taste. Not a masterpiece of craftsmanship but an attempt, to adapt Pale Ale for the Mainstream

Has a dark amber color, with no head at all.

Smells of honeyed malts and sweet salmiak, underneath is a faint layer of flowery hops recognizable, as well as glue. Pretty much a sweet pils, with some huge off flavors.

Has a lower carbonation, leaving even more space for a watery, overly sweet finish.

Begins with bready malts, toffee turning the malts sweet, accompanied by wheat and coppery carbonation, revealing glue. Mirroring the nose, flowery hops become visible underneath the overly sweet malts, almost distracting from the sweetness, without being able to provide any character on themselves. Finishes with copper and biscuits - no hops at all.

This got to be a bad joke, the beer got nothing of an ipa character at all. Its like your usual Beck's but sweeter, not even touching the hops.

330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip.

A: Golden, clear, small thin head, tiny amount of lacing which didn’t hang around very long. Looked pretty flat.

S: Fresh noble hops drowned out the alleged Cascade hop. Some malt.

T: Too malty for the style, strange mix of citrus fruits, malt and normal Becks.

M: Flat with a slightly syrupy texture, body was too thick and heavy.

O: Needed more IBUs too balance the malt. At least they tried and hopefully have paved the way for others to follow, but this is a gateway beer at best.
