Chilled bottle poured into a stemmed pilsner glass.
Two fingers worth of head that quickly shrinks down to only a thin layer sitting a top of a bright yellowish gold body with only a minor amount of effervescent bubbles moving up ward.
Smell detects only the weakest of malt and little else.
Taste has a mild malt notes and perhaps soft hops. On the mouth Becks is crisp and weak bodied.
There really isn't much to write home about with Becks and it is very far from complex.
This really deserves to be approached on its own merits and its place in beer society. This beer is great for a BBQ beer or something to drink whilst watching the game or at the local bar. There is nothing in this beer that would hold beer snobs interest long enough to finish a glass.
