Brilliantly clear orange, with just a hint of autumn brown, topped by a creamy smooth head that vacates surprisingly quickly. Velvety smooth, and delightfully malted, it envelops the tongue like a bearskin rug. It is seemingly warming from the inside, like it assisting in the perparation for the winter ahead, insulating from the cold, yet opening your senses for more. Really enjoyable, especially in-season, but not wholly, if only for the fact that it doesn't leave me immediately craving the next one.

Slways one of the first fest beers out on shelves, pours a lighter shade of brown with a light head for the style. The aroma is caramelly sweet, the flavor starts out very sweet but there isa light hop bitterness that kicks in in the finish.Seemed a little light and watery for the style,a good beginners beer for people having it for the first time but a true beer guy (or gal) not a top notch brew.

Appearance – Nice, almost florescent orangish-brown in color with a decent head.

Smell – The lone aroma of toasted grain makes up this nose.

Taste – The grain isn’t very good, average at best, but the toasting seems to be just right. There’s a touch of caramel sweetness to this one making it right on style if not overly tasty.

Mouthfeel – Sweet and sticky and light to medium-bodied.

Drinkability – They did a good job with the style, but the grain was a little sub-par for my tastes.

Nose- A little skunky/ sulpher note right off the bat, turns to a grassiness that hides beneath light vienna and munich.

App- Beautiful...huge off-white head, rocky, holds at one finger. Brilliantly clear bronze. Maybe a little dark.

Taste- Very light and balanced. Hop bitter leads off, moving to noble hop flavor then balanced by light, bready malt. This is a refreshing example, on the light side. Hop flavor is a bit much for the style. Highly drinkable.

Had this one on tap at the local Oktoberfest. Poured a nice amber color with a small off white head. It had a slightly citrus-y smell to it along with hops. The flavor was very good, it had a nice citrus bite to it especially as it warmed. Not a bad Oktoberfest beer, but not the best you'll find either

Pours a dark amber body with a puffy off-white head. Aromas of toasted pilsner malt and faint hops. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with medium carbonation that scrubs your tongue. Great clean malt flavors with a hint of toffee sweetness that lasts into the finish and is joined by the faint hop bitterness. This is a very well done and refreshingly light octoberfest beer.

Pleasant enough, normal looking oktoberfest. Good one inch head filled my pintglass.

Smells slightly skunked (green glass bottle), with a strong almost maple-like sweetness.

Tastes like an average oktoberfest - accurate to the style. Metallic/copper finish.

Pretty similar to Spaten's Oktoberfest. A little less flavorful. Average, average, average! But then, I expected nothing more.

Presentation: 12oz. green bottle, with a light blue label. Freshness date is clearly marked. Specially brewed in limited quantities in accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516.

Appearance: Copper, clear, with an off-white head; creamy, frothy and relaxes into a nice full covering cream whisp.

Smell: Caramel malts. Semi-spicy, floral hop aroma.

Taste: A bit spicy upfront with a mild lemon rind bitter hop flavour. Body is medium to light, malty, with some dextrin sweetness and soft caramel notes. More grain flavours emerge as the beer warms, and it really smooths out. The hops also become more subtle and tea-like. Alcohol notes finish in the end, with a grainy, dry sweetness.

Notes: Give that this is a Beck's ... it's a great Oktoberfestbier! Drinkable. Flavourful. Addictive. Delicious.

a good overall octoberfest brew. interesting taste. never had it on tap but i imagine it owuld be very very good. but it keeps in with the octoberfest tradition of being a thick, tasty, beer that was meant to be enjoyed not chugged. I lookj forward to picking up a 6 pack every october.

Presentation: It was poured from a green 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: It had a dark burnt orange amber colored body with good clarity. The pour produced a thick and creamy light tan head. The head had decent retention and made some slippery lacing on the glass.

Smell: There is a pleasant malty character with sweet caramel notes and light hints of spicy hops.

Taste/Mouth feel: The flavor has a modest caramel maltiness with light toasted notes and a good balance of spicy hops. A slight herbal and a very slight metallic comes through as well in the finish. The palate has a slick texture with active carbonation and a medium body.

Notes: Overall it's a solid Oktoberfest.

Pours a dark amber. Good head with decent lacing. Nose gets the aroma of malt. Nice malty mouthfeel, a little stronger than regular Beck's. This is a nice seasonal brew. A good beer to drink around the fire or with a good meal. This is a little sweet fot my taste, but I would not turn down a bottle.

The Beck's pours an attractive, red amber body with a small, beige head that vanishes in the blink of the eye. Very minimal lacing.
Aroma feautures a caramel malt dominance. Hops presence is restrained, thankfully, as the minor hops aroma is sulfuric.
Mouthfeel is highly carbonated, and has a light to medium body.
The taste gets diminished by the high carbonation, initially, before some acridly, bitter tastes kick in. Caramel maltiness attempts to emerge, but is overwhelmed by a sickingly, bitter hops/yeast charcter. The taste is unpleasant, with an astringent, sickly bitterness that suggests a bad bottle.
Drinkability is low, due to the high carbonation burps, and the skunky bitterness. Very disappointing.

Not a Beck's fan to begin with, although this is probably their best beer. They brilliantly decided to use clear bottles this year (with a faint green tinge) but are selling them in enclosed 12 packs. Skunky aroma which fortunately vacated when dumped into mug. Some good head & coloration but a bit too artificially fizzy to be truly handsome. Very cold, this beer had some good caramel sweetness in the attack but everything else is a wash. As the beer warmed to the appropriate temperature, the bad flavors became more obvious. Too much regular Beck's flavor, which I find disgusting. Also an offensive metallic aftertaste, much the same effect as sucking on a quarter that you picked up off the street. Will have to recruit some friends to finish this 12 pack for me. Should have known what to expect from Beck's.

One more selection is my quest to sample as many Oktoberfests from Germany as possible this year. Not as good as the others though. Pours a honey-copper color with a thin off-white head, and has a strong sweet honey aroma. Taste is initially a bit metallic, but has some notes of sweet corn and honey to smooth it out. It doesn't get any more complex than that, and then the metallic flavor comes back big in the aftertaste, which turned me off to this beer entirely.
