This is the beer that I go for on maybe a hot summer day. It's watery and basically tasteless, but it lacks the bad after taste of the many American breweries. This is like a refreshing "light" beer for thirst quenching although beer never really solves your thirst does it? Anyway it can be a little refreshing.

I remember the last time I purchased it was in a little town called Le Mars, Iowa on a Karaoke night. The farmers at the bar kinda booed me while the bartender shook my hand when I ordered a Hamms. I doubt if anybody there had tried an exotic beer other than Michelob dark. The crew obviously had a long running debate on Hamm'[s quality. You know the redneck types who argue whether Bud is better than Miller. LOL. That argument is tantamount to debating who's better Jeff Gillooly or joey buttafuoco.

Anyway if you drink a Hamms then listen to some George Jones. Nothing else will really do.

hamm's is my cheap go to beer when the night calls for adjunct. Probably my third choice overall and first if money is a factor. poured into my sprecher taster.

pours a lively and crystal clear straw. looks very clear and light on the yellows. a bone white 1/4 inch head slowly (for an AAL) dissipates.

smell is typical. clean and non offensive adjunct. corn, rice, grass, wet hay.

taste is crisp and again, non offensive. light with prickly carbonation. I like the mouthfeel on this one. from the land of sky blue waters...

Pours a transparent gold-yellow, the colour of apple juice exactly. It had a small head that dissipated to nothing. The smell is that classic cheap beer smell. Nothing offensive or interesting. For the price of this beer, that's a good thing. That's what they were going for, I imagine.
Mouthfeel is highly carbonated and very watery. Too much so on both counts, but oh well. It's cheap.
The taste seems very separated. First the bitterness with the carbonation, then a watery lack of flavour and then the light flavour of the malt that carries that classic bad beer taste I'm looking for. It doesn't meld together well, due to the high carbonation I believe. This kinda sucks, but kinda makes it interesting. I'd still prefer lower carbonation, though. I'm probably not going to buy this beer again since Schlitz Gusto is in the same price range and a better beer. But if Schlitz ends up costing more, I might think about buying Hamm's again. It's better than the big names. Marginally.

Pale straw yellow in colot, with a large head of active carbonation. Thin, even anemic lace on the glass.

Aroma is nothing special -- grainy, barley and little else.

Tastes similar to the nose, malty and thin of body. I get a slight hint of hops deep in the mix, but it's faint. Decent amount of flavor for an American Adjunct.

Certainly not an outstanding beer, but taken for what it is (cheap at $9.99/24 cans), this mops the floor with the big boys' lagers, providing some taste for the buck.

A- Pours a pale clear straw color with a fluffy white head that settles down to a thin film.

S- Some leafy, dry hops and pale grain.

T- A bit of citrus, a decent amount of hops with a bit of peppery spice, light grainy malts and some sweet adjuncts. Actually pretty decent.

M- Light body, moderate to high carbonation, dry finish.

O- A pretty good beer, especially for the price. Probably about on par with PBR, definitely preferable to the big macros.
