Blended from six types of malted barley and two varieties of hops, making the nut brown one of the richest and most well-rounded of our beers.

Light to medium body with low astringency and bitterness. A bit or sourness in the finish balanced by some sweetness. Alcohol seemed low, medium malt character, low hops, yeast esters low, somewhat lingering after taste.

Taster at brewery. Dark brown, as expected, with a small beige head. Pretty standard for a brown ale, light roast, nutty character, mild bite. Right in the wheelhouse

On tap at the brewery in Pocatello, Idaho.
This arrived with an excellent head over a nearly opaque, brown-black body.
Attractive, malty aroma.
Flavor: lightly bitter with hints of roast coffee; semi-sweet chocolate, slightly burnt toast and black bread.
Smooth, medium-light body.

Poured into a pint glass from tap.
Appearance: 1 finger ivory head that is creamy and frothy with poor retention. The color of the beer is dark brown with maghoney red hues. There is no carbonation bubbles but there is lacing on the glass.
Nose: A complex malt with notes of nuts, carmel, toasted, roasted, malts. There is a subtle sweetness aroma with yeast and malted barley. The hops profile is faint and slightly fruity.
Taste: A very deep rich malt flavor. The malt flavors are roasted, toasted, carmel, with a hint of chocolate and a hint of grainy wheat note. The hops is subtle and the yeast is a little more pronounced. There is a sweetness and nuttyness in the flavor of the beer almost like hazelnuts.
Mouthfeel: creamy rich and flat.
Overall: The body of the beer is medium full and the finish is medium. This beer has a lot going for it. It is well rounded and flavorfull. 1 drawback to this beer is it came off as flat

Pour: Appears a dark brown in the glass but when held up to the light it's a very dark ruby red and has a finger of off-white head that dissipates somewhat quickly and leaves no lacing.
Smell: Some caramel, chocolate, and a little bit of floral hops.
Taste: Follows the nose for the most part. Starts of with caramel sweetness and then gives way into the chocolate flavor, with underlying hints of dark fruit. Finishes up with a small coffee note and a clean bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and a touch creamy, active carbonation, smooth.
Drinkability: Goes down nicely and is quite sessionable.
Final Notes: A pleasant drinking beer that's one of their better offerings. I drink it on a regular basis.
