May 2014: Shared bottle at local tasting. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of fruity / citrussy hops, a hint of spruce. Light bodied. Medium dry and well hopped flavour throughout, a nice bitterness in the finish.

330ml can from Bacchus Off License, Shoreditch (£2.99):
Slightly brighter than average golden amber with a thin, bubbly white surface lacing that's patchy on one side. The nose is pine & tropical hops with a sweet aroma initially, mango & citrus dominating with pineapple & floral notes to finish. It's lively & tangy with more citrus & mango flavours with the taste, some orange peel & background tropical fruits coming through too. It's medium bodied but well carbonated & fairly fresh too.

CAN
Tarnished brass, lots of flowers, cracker then lemon zest + orange rind, dry + chalky.

Amarillo, Citra
Defo not the XPA - where that’s all oil, this is all pith. Hops, yes, but sharp, almost unpleasantly so. Miss.
2nd tasting: grassy + astringent. Hints of citrus, but over dry hopped. Too toasty, too. How do you go wrong at 4.4%?

From a 330ml can.
L: Hazy, dark gold. Thick, sticky head leaves sheets of lacing.
S: Very delicate, floral & honeysuckle nose.
T: Nice balance of pine and citrus. All pith, not so much juice.
F: Just about medium body. Light carbonation. Refreshingly dry.
O: Excellent session pale ale. Shows that a low 4.4% ABV in an American-style pale ale doesn't need to compromise taste or mouthfeel. Need to enjoy the taste and feel of bittering hops though!

Pours a lemon yellow body with massive foamy white head.
aroma is spritely with sherbet & lemon zest there with that candy type hop smell
Just a real nice balanced flavour building up from the very wheatey malt backbone with toffee notes sprouting into citrus and then a nice tart bitter finish that sits on the tongue.
Genuinely easy drinking.
A fantastic flavoursome beer that doesn't overwhelm
but packs a lot in.
