On tap at the Fork & Brewer in Wellington in Dec. 2013.
Body displays coarse carbonation; medium clear amber with a fairly durable bone head.
Flavor: strongly flavored with earthy/piney hops. A hint of spruce.
Feel: Medium+ body; near medium carbonation; smooth
O: Bitter indeed, but not without aromatic hops too.

Pours dark amber with a large head.
Nose shows light fruit (pear, apple), biscuity and bready malt, and grapefruit.
Pretty aggressive flavours. Pine, grapefruit, some cookie dough-like malt followed by a full-on sharp bitterness.
Carbonation seems to high.

Bottle: standard brown 330mL bottle with a decent craft label. A good package for a small operation. Bought from Leura Cellars.
Appearance: a solid copper-amber colour with light fine carbonation. A half-finger off-white head pops up and dissipates pretty quickly - decent lace.
Taste: not quite as much hops on the nose as I would expect from an IPA. Some malts behind also.
Aftertaste: earth and pine hops with heavy malts, some tropical fruits - seems to be a ParrotDog thing. A bit of a fug.
Mouth feel: turns quite bitter on the aftertaste - lots of hop bitterness, but without much clarity.
Overall: once again from ParrotDog, a pretty average beer based on a fairly basic hop bitterness with an awkward tartness. The bitterness is simply a bit stronger with this one. Far too expensive - much better options available for much less.

My bottle said 5.8% and the style is Belgian IPA
Pours a darker orange with nice healthy thick head and lacing.
Smell is big hop resin, cinnamon, cloves. Some pine, plastic, jaffa and malt.
Taste is nice and hoppy with some nice sharp ruby grapefruit and tangelos.
Mouthfeel has a big dose of hop resin and some nice ashen bitterness.
Just a nice beer all round and very tasty for the ABV.
