Good Local Ohio Brew. The brew has an average hoppiness and bitterness. The can is cool with the Walleye. Would buy again. This beer is an active brew.

Having taken a trip to Catawba Island recently (just north of Sandusky, Ohio) I was able to find this delightful brew available in a local Kroger's. I bought a couple and thoroughly enjoyed them; thus, I went back the next day and bought some more. They were better than I expected; and I am feeling fortunate to have been able to have them since the brew is listed as being retired. (I wish it would come out of retirement, I enjoyed it that much.) I remember it being quite flavorful w/o being overbearing. I would like to have some more, hopefully, someday soon.

Tarnished orange/bronze body with creamy ivory white head. Lacing is quite full and droopy. Faint whiff of hops on the nose. Light malt aroma. Average aroma at best. Flavor is pretty neutral. Nothing off but nothing really stands out. Biscuity malt base with some pine needle and lemon oil dancing on top. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Average IPA that drinks more like a pale ale. Probably wouldn't revisit this one unless I had limited choices.
