Because others have described this as a spicey ale, I've steered away from this brew. Recently I had some on tap at a restaurant and found it a charming delight. Yes, it did have some spiceyness, but not what I thought. So now I try the bottled version. I'm drinking it warmer than I normally would and I'm finding the spicyness very enjoyable.
: Nice clear golden color bits of sediments and bubbles galor. Thick, white, pillowy head that leaves behind full bodied chunks of lace.
s: Smells of powdery yeasts and fruitiness.
t: Tastes typical belgian fruitiness with nice sweet and spice balance.
m: Very smooth full bodied experience.
d: I cannot wait have more.
I enjoyed this bottle with some white grapes, some cheddar and stilton cheese and crackers.
