From bottle, poured into my Duvel Tulip.
A: A gorgeous hazy amber orange hybrid that has a generous pillowy white head with sticky lacing down the side of the glass until every drop is gone.
S: Belgian yeast, candied citrus peel, honey, some tree fruit, with a little bit of baking spice lurking in the background. Nice.
T: Much like the nose with the yeast and citrus playing leading rolls, banana presents itself as well, and the spiciness gives me wonderful breath (I think so at least, my companions can decide for themselves). Good balance of sweet and tart, with a bit of bitterness to smooth things out.
M: As expected, medium density for a beer with this alcohol content. Nice light carbonation adds to the pleasantness.
D: Really good for an 8% sleeper. Nothing overpowering to turn this in to a one-and-done for the evening.
