Poured from an 11.2-oz. bottle into my Terrapin snifter.
Appearance: A gentle pour with a bit of 'pop' at the end yielded a beautiful pale orange beer with a little less than a one-finger white head. This ale is absolutely opaque, and what is this that stands before me? Sediment?! I think I'm in love.
Smell: Belgian yeast and a nice hop aroma. I can just imagine being in the hop fields.
Taste: A perfect blend of Belgian malts and hoppy bite on the back of the tongue. I can feel the alcohol travelling down, too; it's nice and warm. I can't recall ever having a Belgian beer with such an overt hop presence. Dobbelen IPA Tripel, is it? Well, I'm game.
Mouthfeel: Very crisp; tangy, I'd say. Medium body. Coats the mouth well.
Drinkability: This is an interesting mix of Belgian and American styles, and I've loved every sip of it.

Color is mainly yellow/orange, forms a large white head that seems in no hurry to go anywhere.
Smell is of malt, yeast, floral notes, and a bit of pine from the hops.
Starts out a lot like a triple, with fruit and pepper notes. It's in the back of the beer that the hops shop up, and add floral and pine flavors, leaving a bitterness in the finish.
Smooth and solid feel to this one.
I knew this would be an interesting beer, as it combines my favorite style of beer with one of my least favorite styles. The combination actually works, although it is a bit more hopped up than I prefer. The triple part of adds complexity and flavors I like, although this is probably one of the most hopped up Belgian beers I have ever tried. Definitely worth trying out, glad I tried something a little different.
