This location of iTap is basically just the Soulard location moved west (in a cooler space). The selection and quality of the taps and bottles is very impressive, with a rotating selection of locals and rarer beers. The service isn't bad, as the bartenders are knowledgeable. Occasionally you may have to get up and go to the bar to get a beer in a timely manner, but that is my only criticism. What I think that this place has on the Soulard location is the building it is in and the area it is in. The building has multiple levels with a ton of TV's, which is nice. There are plenty of restaurants around so that you can order in or go pickup food to eat during your visit as well.

Overall, this is a very solid bar in the St. Louis beer scene.

I went last Sunday, for the first time. They offered a $3.00 beer of the day. (It happened to be Tallgrass 8 Bit and Arrogant Bastard by Stone ... nice!) They were also celebrating "Belgian Independence Day". In other words, when you bought a Belgian ale, you got to keep the corresponding glass that it came in. An unexpected bonus, again, for a first time visitor.

The atmosphere was great, conducive to conversation while enjoying your beer. The staff was quite knowledgeable, and could answer any of our questions concerning the ales we were ordering. Service was very prompt and very friendly. The tap and bottle list were impressive as well. I was pleasantly surprised and it rivals anything we have here in Chicago. The tab, for the six Belgians, three $3.00 specials, a NA beer for my daughter and Sprite for my girlfriend came to $40.00 plus gratuity. Overall excellent. I am so looking forward to going back. Cheers!

My favorite place to go for a beer in my hometown. Great selection and friendly staff- this used to be a gay bar forever, they've totally renovated it almost to be unrecognizable, which is a good thing. I'd much rather drink a nice craft beer than pretend to sing along to showtunes I don't know.
