Pours thick; bright gold with just a white film that trails. 3.25
Toast and grass on the nose - no US hops. 3.5
Husk, creamed corn, rotten lemon and burnt hay. 3
Sour finish and dry linger. 3.5
Medium, chewy, no snap.

Pours dull, flat, and viscous. Nose is standard at best, there’s no sign of the American hopping (Simcoe, Summit, Columbus + also Saaz, sez the label), and there are a few sour off notes. It’s in date (only by a week, but still) so I could see if it weren't spanking fresh, but it shouldn't be this dead. Even as it opens, it still comes across as over-dry-hopped and under-aroma’d. Does not deserve to wear "India Pale Lager" on the label.

A disaster. 3
