Hazy brass with pillowy offwhite wit-like head.
Yellow apple, clove, earth and grass on the nose, plus a bit of lemon peel.
Saltines up front but some bitter herbal notes, like nettles, work in from the start turning to grapefruit, coriander and noble spice. A blast of white pepper in the middle.
Cumin and dried orange peel finish and ringing bitter linger.
Light, crisp, bone dry, some cling, lively.
Magnum, Amarillo + Cascade dry hop, as it turns out.
It was a tough call to put this in as a Pale Wheat because the taste is much closer to a Belgian IPA or a Wit, even though all the ingredients are American. This was achieved by holding it at a pretty warm 77 degrees for a week after bottling to produce lots of esters (said the brewer). In the end you get a dry, wheaty, citrussy quaffer with some serious hopping (though only 28 IBUs) that tastes strong and Belgian, though it is neither of those things.
BPBP continues to impress.

Belgian yeast nose up front with straw notes and fruity Belgian ale notes with herby coriander and clove. Full palate with nice fresh finish. Citrus fruits with some spicy notes pepper and clove. Very interesting wheat ale that reminds of a Belgian saison
