Imperial India Pale Ale brewed with papaya.

Hazy dark orange color with beige head. Nice head that stays for a long time and leaves nice lacing.
Fruity smell that seems to come more from the papaya. The hops seem to me more earthy than fruity.
Sweet malts upfront in the taste, not getting too much fruit. Aftertaste is pretty bitter, lots of piney hops.
Medium body with medium carbonation. Would prefer it to be smoother...

Overall, a really nice double IPA but I don't think that I would have noticed there is papaya in it if I didn't know.

330ml bottle. More weird Euro cat cartoon imagery on the label - at least I get the wired to explode papaya, welded by said cat - or do I?

This beer pours a mildly hazy bronzed orange apricot hue, with two hefty fingers of puffy, densely foamy, and fairly caked off-white head, which leaves some nicely chunky island profile lace around the glass as it slowly ebbs away.

It smells of robust, sassy grapefruit, blood orange, and well, Imma gonna say papaya - mostly because I can't quite adequately define that particular musty tropical fruitiness - bready caramel malt, an untethered yeastiness, and further earthy, leafy, and well-perfumed hops. The taste is happily a fair bit more astringent, in the good way, the citrus hop fruitiness replete with grapefruit, orange, and lime pith, and a good dose of acrid pine resin, as the capably consistent bready caramel malt provides a certain modicum of fall-back support, and a niggling perfumed (read: soused) hop character duly rounds things out.

The bubbles are at once frothy, and yet equally inane and seemingly unnecessary by their very less than obvious absence, the body an agreeably sturdy medium weight, and actually quite smooth, given the established working conditions. It finishes off-dry, the hops, malt, and alcohol all doing well to represent their cause.

A decent rendition of an American micro-brewing standard, from the depths of Spain's apparently nascent scene = neat, just of its own accord. All the analytical points are hit, so it comes down to that most basic of tenets - does it really work, does it freaking taste good? Yes, I believe it does.
