As one reviewer said that this was the only beer bar in town, it is not, but instead it is the best bar in town (unless he meant it as a craft beer bar, in which he would be correct). Lots of seating provided by a local "upcycle" store, huge selection of beers and drinks, 21+ to get in, no jukebox (which is a plus because that prevents people from loading it up with crappy music) just a random assortment of music playing in the background. Staff is friendly and if you go enough, they will remember you by name. Emporia needed a place like this instead of the club like bars that are all around the university. Very nice place to relax and enjoy a brew.

Currently, this is the only beer bar in town. But based on how busy they were when I visited (3-4 times actualy) this likely will change.
The have about 20 quality taps and about 30 bottle options. Expect Boulevard, TallGrass, a few other locals, national heavy hitters (Stone is coming to Kansas very soon) on tap and a nice selection of varied bottles. Bottle options include Orval, Duvel and of course stuff like O'Dell, more Boulevard, Sierra Nevada and the like.
No food served (except bowls of pretzels) but feel free to bring food in or order for delivery.
Nice friendly staff, large windows out onto commercial street add to the comfortable athmosphere.
For this visitor from NY State the prices were more then reasonable. I remember paying $4 for a quality pint of O'Dells and $3.50 (!) for a bottle of Single wide IPA.
If in town and looking for BA quality craft options in a easy going location, this place is a must visit. Happy to find it and enjoy several visits
