750 ml bottle. Label says 9.0% ABV. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch light tan head. The head stays around for a long time, and there's a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, it smells like bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, and some dark fruit. The taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some milk chocolate and a bit of anise. It's just like the label says, a bittersweet imperial stout. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit slick and creamy with moderate carbonation. I think it's a good imperial stout, I wouldn't mind picking up another bottle soon. It's always nice seeing another new local brewery bottle their products. This is the first Actual Brewing beer I've tried, and hopefully it won't be the last. $9.99 a bottle.

Average on all accounts except taste and mouthfeel: it was smooth as silk (when served on nitro tap) and sweet without being cloying.

Enjoyed from the750 ml bottle in a snifter. This nice imperial pours a muddy brownish black with a nice tan head of big bubbled foam that settles to a thick layer and very nice lacing. Nose of cocoa, raisin, roasted malts, light coffee, and a touch of lactose. Flavors follow the nose with cocoa and raisin on the front and sides that mingle nicely with the deeply roasted coffee flavors and roasted malts. Sweetness comes through on the middle to back with a cola and cream flavor that is excellent. Warmth brings out deeper flavors and a good amount of warming alcohol to the back of the taste. Great mouth feel with very lively carbonation and a sweet cocoa and coffee infused aftertaste. Excellent.

The more I have of this brewery the more I like it.

Cheers

Thanks to kgncfl for sending. I love trying obscure locals. This was consumed at the end of a long night of drinking, but I found this to be a bit muddled. A little hop, a little caramel, a little raisin, all adds up to a lot of confusion. Not quite a stout. Neutral recommendation from me.

It pours black, as it should. For being an imperial stout, it falls way short. Yes it had high alcohol, but that was about all I could taste. It lack the dark, roasty, maltiness that I felt it should have. It was very thin, and left me wanting more. And not in a good way. Great label, but I would not recommend it.

Great beer. Really like Guiness but with great flavor. Top 5 Columbus beer.
