This restaurant and bar is relatively new and a good addition to the LI craft beer scene. It is located in a sort of random spot, on the end of a supermarket shopping plaza. Anyways, inside it has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their staff members help created that ambience, as they are quite friendly and helpful.
As for the beer, they do a nice job of supporting local brewers such as Great South Bay and Blue Point. They also had selections from Goose Island, The Bruery, Firestone Walker, and others. As for the food, it was tasty, but was a little more $ than one might typically expect to pay for a burger and chicken sandwich. The overall experience was a positive one and would recommend locals or anyone passing this area to stop by.

I know most people see this as a restaurant first and foremost, but they actually usually have an excellent beer selection here. Better than any bar in 25 minutes in any direction (case in point, they have 2012 Bourbon County Stout on tap as of right now). The website leads you to believe that this is a beer-focused restaurant, but I think 90% of people wouldn't even know that. The bar tenders are super, super nice and a couple of them are actually very knowledgeable on craft beer as well. The main downsides in experiencing Morrison's solely as a bar is: the bar section is really small AND there's seating behind you if you're sitting at the bar, so it can feel like you're being obnoxious just by coming in with a group of people and sitting/standing around the bar; the beer prices aren't that great; and it closes early. They have a vinyl night on Wednesday's which is cool and have happy hour's.

A - Had lunch here at this small place along a strip mall on Woodbury Road. This is a tiny cafe with a bar area. Very cozy and has a few TV's showing the local sports. The crowd at the time was the lunch business group. People were overall lively and enjoying themselves.
Q - Server knew the beers on tap. Even explained after I ordered what style it was to confirm I would enjoy it. Clearly there is an effort to know the pours, and I appreciate that.
Serv - They had some lunch specials which were good enough for me to try one. Were attentive to the customers. what I liked most is that the taps are noted on Beermenus.com as they are updated. All taps are noted on a chalkboard.
Sel - Their website promotes "drink local" and 4 of the 6 taps were local beers. Not only was Port Jeff, Greenport, Great South Bay, and Long Ireland represented but with some their less common offerings ( I went with Port Jeff Carolina Common). I'd prefer if they just went all local and stay true to their theme by putting Blue Point and a nano local brewery (Blind Bat?). But overall this selection is going to appeal to any craft beer drinker.
Food - Solid menu and I had a shrimp & heirloom tomato salad that was great. They have plenty of promotion nights with different specials as well.
V - Prices for food and pours were typical for an upscale Long Island restaurant.
I'll make a return here as I work close by. They also have plenty of wine and this is a decent place to take a spouse for a nice meal while you enjoy local beer.

Boy was I excited when I heard that they were opening a gastro pub with craft beer focus just minutes from where I live (my grocery store shares a parking lot with this place!). I went out for opening night and sat at the bar for food and drink (I've since been back several times).
Opening night and every time I've been there since, they had all taps with great craft options favoring beer that isn't as readily available in the area (westbrook, evil twin, and oddities from the locals as well as small batch stuff that came to the area such as GI The Illinois and plenty of Dark Horse...quality stuff - even have Imp Biscotti break up NOW!). If I have one complaint, and I do have only 1 complaint about this place...it is that they only have 6 taps. Whilst I've never had a hard time finding something I'm interested in when there, most places that bill themselves as beer focused will typically have at least a dozen offerings (although within those dozen you will find the macros...no macros here!).
The atmosphere/vibe is very cozy. The bar/front area isn't huge, but big enough to host a lively crowd (they hosted a bottle share event there earlier this week and there was a great turn-out and it didn't feel over-crowded). A few TVs with sports and/or what you'd expect to see in a bar. I've never sat in the restaurant area, but was there in this spot's former life (called Red Fish) and the vibe is the same welcoming feel.
Quality of food and beer is top notch. Like I said earlier, just wish they had more taps.
Service has been spot on. Always good service at the bar and the owners and staff are really nice and friendly and I feel welcomed every time I'm there (even got comped a really tasty app of some sort of fried leaf...not kale, but reminded me of kale - it was super tasty).
Selection is always good, just limited to 6 taps. they are building out their bottling offerings and have some great stuff already (crooked stave, bruery, etc), but i've never not had something on draft i've wanted to get me to dip into the bottle menu.
Food...ah yes. Whilst it was the beer that first got me in the door, it is the food that keeps me coming back. if you are looking for great pub food...and i mean great...this is your spot. the burger is killer as is everything i've had on the menu so far.
value is on par for food and drink in the area and what you'd expect to pay for a quality pub meal and drinks.
overall, i'm super happy that this spot is here. i've come for food and just for some drinks and everyone i've brought with me was equally impressed. now, if only i can get my wife to let me go grocery shopping without the kids, i could stop in here first!
