A - Surprisingly light in color for a coffee beer, but not light really. A rich, cloudy brownish amber that gives way to murky darkness towards the top of the tulip. The head begins quite foamy and resides to a nice, lingering off white foam.

S - Coffee jumps out front, but there are some nice herbal, peppery tones and grassy/floral aromas that are hiding behind the coffee, probably from belgian yeasts. There's a nice malt backbone with some currant and dark fruit/berries as well.

T - Kind of confusing at first. The Belgian vibe (yeasty, fruity, spicy) shines out front but the coffee is definitely there, although not overwhelming. The finish has clove, chocolate, currant, and malt, but doesn't really linger for very long. It ends with a spicy, mostly dry note that doesn't really leave much coffee on your tongue, more spice.

M - Fairly light, good carbonation, and a decent acidity from the coffee/yeast combo.

O - A very unique brew. Can't really say I've ever had anything quite like this. The coffee is there, particularly in the nose, but it doesn't really take center stage as the other qualities of the beer really lead the flavor profile. Pretty neat stuff, glad I got a chance to try it. Maybe a stronger beer (imperial stout) with the coffee for next time so that the coffee can be used a bit more aggressively?
