A malt-driven dark ale with layers of chocolate, caramel and coffee over a base of roasted malts. It boasts a rich mouthfeel giving way to some warming alcohol on the finish.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a large light brown head. Smells of coffee and slight chocolate, nice inviting aroma. Tastes of coffee malt with nice subtle chocolate notes. Beer is light bodied, easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Taste: creamy mouth-feel, baker's chocolate dry black malts. Toasted semi sweet malt nose. Black, opaque, with tan head and delicate lace. Medium/full body. Balanced. 35 IBUs

I'm trying the Buckledown Porter at the Ohare Hilton due to missed connection to FLL. It poured a nearly opaque mahogany with ecru head that is leaving some lace. The scent is roast you with hints of sweetness. The taste is roast you with hints of caramel and coffee. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it's a good beer.

16oz draft poured into a bulbous pint glass is a deep brown, cola colored, body floating a 1/4in cream head that dissipates to a glass hugging ring.
Stitched lacing remains on the glass.
Aromas are chocolatey and sweet malt with a bitterness I can't quite recognize, not off-putting, just my weak beak.
Flavor is biscuit malt, chocolate, raisin, and there's another dark fruit in there as well.
Mouthfeel leans heavy as expected, with a clean finish.
Overall, I like that this is available, AND I think I could make it. Simple, straightforward, clean, and delicious.

This beer really hit the spot during brunch. A sessionable dark beer that has all the flavor and mouthfeel of a bigger beer is just a home run in my book. Tons of roast that gave coffee notes of espresso and dark chocolate. Really well carbed to give an almost creaminess. Impressed and hope this makes it into 6 packs of cans.
