Seriously piney. Poured at Poor Phil's. This is good.

On draft at the Haymarket Pub & Brewery, poured into a twelve ounce goblet glass.

A - Showed up as a clear, coppery gold with about a half inch of off white head that drops into the beer, leaving a film of very tight bubbles around the glass. Really good looking.

S - Hmmm, I get the citrus, but there's caramel and biscuit in the nose which actually overwhelm the normal DIPA citrus bomb. Interesting.

T - A bit of astringency in the front and back, but a lot of caramel and still the bisquit. It's almost like a double bitter, really, but good.

M - This is a personal choice - it has a "thick" mouthfeel, which I don't associate with DIPA's. Very heavy on the tongue. Not bad, just not what I expected.

O - A very good DIPA. Worth seeking out if you like the style (and I do).
