From my misplaced NERAX 2005 guide book.
This rare cask lager poured a pale gold color with a smallish pure white head, which faded to a constant thin coating, along with some sticky web-like lacing.
A pleasant fruity and floral hop bouquet is released upon first pour. A grainy malt background smell lasts a good while,
Given the thin look to this brew, it has a surprisingly substantial malty body. Lightly sweet and fairly rich and velvety.
The hops provide an edgy crisp bitter bite. A nice floral and fruity hop flavor is revealed in the finish.
Man, this goes down easy, easy but really tasty!

Pours a nice colour with excellent head and lacing. Carbonation is medium.
The aroma is stunning for a lager. Grapefruit notes combine with breadiness in an exciting way that makes you say "this is classy" before you've even taken a sip. It's got more and better aroma than any lager I've yet tried.
The taste is as good as the smell. It's got the sweet honey flavour that is present in a good Munich Helles and the bitterness of a German Pilsner. There is a satisfying bready backbone to the taste as well. The lingering bitter after taste has you wanting another sip fast. I got plenty of lovely citrusy notes too. Surprising. wonderful, interesting and tasty. Herbal hop, tropical fruits, malty back bone.... it's all here!
Schiehallion really is an lager that is not "boring". It has an abundance of flavour and some ale like characterisics but is still most definitely a lager. It's refreshing and drinkable but full flavoured and enigmatic. A pretty amazing beer. Haven't tasted a better lager than this yet.

Appearance – An almost (but not quite) clear golden color, with a nice white head that dissipates to a small patch on one side of the glass.
Smell – A lemony, grassy, hops.
Taste – Lager, but with a bitter hoppiness.
Mouthfeel – Thin, watery, with medium carbonation. Goes down smooth.
Drinkability – This lager has more flavor than a typical lager, though it isn't one of my favorite lagers.
