Poured on-tap at the brewery, the beer is a very dark, blackish coloring, with a thin, low, tan surface coating of head. Nose of heavy dark roasted coffee, with hints of bitter baker's chocolate. Flavors are more chocolate forward, rich and bittersweet, with a heavy coffee ground backbone. Perfect balance, on a smooth, soft, light bodied. The aftertaste is chocolate and coffee, of course, but with a candy sweet feel. Smooth, light finish.

Look: It pours black with a brown head.
Smell: It has aromas of roast, cocoa, a bit of coffee and vanilla.
Taste: It has a strong roasted taste with a bit of chocolate. It has a definitive burnt quality to it. There is a bit of nut and vanilla.
Feel: It has a full body with a bit of a silky mouthfeel.
Overall, in my opinion a little much on the burnt flavors.

mperial stout brewed with Videri chocolate (Videri of course being located next door). Outstanding full bodied stout with a strong note of bitter dark chocolate on a dry roast malt backbone. Alcoholic and warming.

Had a glass of this at Crank Arm Brewing's taproom.
L: nearly black, finger of tan head
S: dark chocolate, roasted coffee
T: sweet & rich chocolate, roasted coffee, dark malt
F: smooth, medium/heavy body, light carbonation
This is a very good imperial stout. I would gladly have one of these again.

Poured a black body with one finger slightly tan head and some lace. This seemed to be a sweeter than usual RIS (I'm not sure I'd qualify it as a RIS) but it hits the spot. Roasted malts are both in the nose and taste but the aroma/taste of beer seems to be geared toward a chocolate coffee blend as there are hints of both coffee and chocolate throughout the beer. Goes down somewhat smooth and easy and this sipper is quite the meal by itself.
