This place is a few blocks from my office, so I go there pretty regularly.

Over the years his place has had a bit of an identity crisis. They had a typical NYC pub food menu. We were never terribly impressed with the food, and they always seemed to be somewhat stretched for service when very busy during lunch hour so we didn't go that frequently to eat, just for the good beer selection.

A while back they changed their menu to be burger focused. They have at least 10 different types of burgers. Some of them are good, some are not. They have some snack foods as well like buffalo cauliflower and pretzels that go nice with drinking beer.

Recently, they created this "theme" called "supercraft". I don't know what it means, but there's a huge sign on the ceiling and the word is written on their menus. It seems silly and random to me. Again, they're having a bit of an identity crisis.

There are about 12 stools at the bar and 8 or so beer hall style tables inside. 2-3 TV's over
the bar. They have an outdoor patio area with bean bag toss, giant Jenga, putting green, fussball, ping pong, giant chess. There are a ton of tables and seating outside. It's a great place for the summer, especially since the roof is covered.

Their beer selection is very good. They have 20 beers on tap. The left side of the menu is the less exciting side. It doesn't change much, and has some less sexy, although good options, like a German Lager, Radler, and other approachable styles for someone who may not be seeking out the latest and greatest BBA Stout or NEIPA. The right side of the menu is for the beer nerd.

If Brad is tending the bar you'll be in for stellar service and music (rock/metal). Otherwise, when busy and seated at a table I find the service to be somewhat slow, and the servers have zero knowledge of the beer or what's on tap, as I've often been told something has kicked when that is not the case, or been brought the wrong beer.

Overall, it's a fun spot, with good small plate / bar food options (not overly impressed at all with the burgers), very good for large groups (10+) due to the outdoor area. If you wanted VERY good bar food, and good food overall, along with a good beer list, in FiDi, I'd take Malt House over Clinton Hall, mainly due to the food.

Stopped in for late lunch and some beers after attending 9\11 Memorial Museum with my family late December. Just a short walk . The food was excellent and it was a great place to explore some new beers. A win-win for me. Bartender and server were very friendly and helpful. Beer selection was strong with around 20 taps. We really enjoyed the burgers and sausages. Good pub grub. Actually tried Fried avocados. Fries and onion rings a must try. Music was a bit loud for a really good conversation but we managed. They had a bier garden but it was to cold to enjoy. Bar had several TVs playing soccer and college football. Seating was on large wooden tables with benches. Overall good beer selection for lower Manhattan.

Located in the New York City's financial district and near the Freedom Towers. Decent tap and bottle selection of quality beer. The drawback is that it gets crowded and loud with Wall Street types. As a result, the service is slow since the crowded bar is overrun with d bags and alpha types who cut in front of you when ordering. I will give this place another chance or two because of its selection, but overall, the crowd is not my scene at all.
I didn't rate the food since I did not eat, but, it looked decent.

I've only drank at the bar but this place gets packed on summer nights with big crowds in the patio/table area. At the bar is a great place to be since the bartenders are good with samples and know their beer, plus you post up at the bar and avoid the long waits. Selection is always good with a wide variety on tap in addition to the standard German "chugging" beers that are flowing. Food is pretty good, but the place is expensive - I guess that should be expected for a beer hall in the Wall Street area.

Great beer, great food and ping pong. Love the humorous and constantly changing blackboard memes too. Was most recently there for their Founders event where I was lucky enough to try Founders CBS. Will probably never have that opportunity again. Thanks Clinton Hall!

These guys really care about the quality and variety of beer they bring in. Always something new, always something unusual - the best beer spot in lower Manhattan.

On vacation in NYC, so we stopped in here. Seating is sturdy wooden picnic tables, which worked well for me, but if you need a seat back, be warned. Basic beer trivia written on the walls, so it's an education too :-)

They have about 18 taps, but the day we were there was a Firestone Walker event and about 10 of the taps were FW beers. For these events they apparently tap a new one every 30 minutes through the evening. We were there late afternoon, so most of those hadn't tapped yet (including Parabola, which didn't tap till 9PM. Waah!) But the non-FW selection was appropriately varied and I found a nice stout. They also have a "keg of doom" which I gathered was a rotating one-off. Only downside for me was they didn't offer flights.

Don't recall all of the food but a mainstay is bratwurst/sausage/etc. The 3.5 rating for the food is relative to this type of menu. I recommend subbing out the french fries for the kale salad.
