Bottle pour at the release, a blend of 4 different beers (ranging from 3-25 months aging)
The beer pours a cloudy coppery amber, with little sediment, and a tightly packed, white head that shows mild lacing before fading. The nose is tart with notes of vinous raspberries, oak, and definitely some funk, but no component of this beer's aroma seems overpowering. The taste is surprisingly bright and fruity, with tart berries upfront rounded out by the oak aging and malt backbone. I'd say this beer has a medium body with its big, rich flavors and modest alcohol, but it finishes lighter than expected, with a lingering, dry fruitiness. Each of the four beers blended stretch the palate on their own, but together they seem to work quite well. I'm very interested to see how this beer will evolve over time.

Bottle opened and poured for onsite consumption at Perennial. Poured into a wine stemmed glass and shared with Mike. Had this along side Saison Du Blé and Barrel Aged Abraxas Base stout.

A - Reddish amber that pours a little murky but as it sits int he glass it clears up wonderfully. Small white foam head that dissipates quickly back into the glass

S - This comes off with an Acidic, tart smell with cherries and assorted berries. You can definitely smell the funk coming through this with the addition of Lacto and Brett. There is a slight hint of apples on the nose as well

T - Taste follows the nose here with a bright upfront acidic bite followed by the notes of berries, apple, and some noticeable oak and wine character coming through

M - Acidic mouthfeel that is light and crisp. This goes down easy

O - Overall, this is another homer from Side Project. So glad that I live within 30 miles of Perennial, it is always a treat when from the cellar is on!

750ml bottle

A: Reddish amber, slightly hazy, visible carb

S: Oak, funk, cherries, citrus

T: Very sour and very clean taste, lots of bright lemon, a mix between cherry and wine fruitiness, oak and a complex funk. This reminds me of a spontaneous golden ale gone amber. Absolutely delicious!

M: Full body, good carb but slightly sticky mouthfeel

O: I was pretty blown away by this beer. It achieved a great complex funk and well integrated flavors.
