Well I didnt drink this beer in Cali but apparently the Clear Lake location of this place is screwed up so I gotta review it here....

this brew pours up solid black with a great tan head. there was never ending lacing on the glass. the aroma was just big malts, nothing too out of the ordinary (considering I was a lil dosed on the goofy grass). The taste was big malts, dark chocolate, maybe subtle vanilla, nice bitter hop balance in the finish, full bodied, medium carbo, very creamy and smooth. Glad to know that I have a non-commercial badass Imperial Stout on tap at my disposal!

5 oz draft, 10/22/07 at BJ's Woodland Hills.

Beautiful black pour with fine tan head. Odors of coffee and chocolate are precursors to what the tongue will experience shortly. Balanced bitterness and roasted flavors on the tongue with a small amount of astringency. Despite the creaminess of the texture, the feel is a bit thin. Lingering thin aftertase of coffee.

Not a world-class imperial stout, but certianly not a bad one.
