Look is cloudy lemonade like with a foamy but not fluffy inch of head. Great start with the look and the mildly spicy, floral aroma. If you didnt know better you would not think this an ipa. The taste is where this leaves me wanting. The hops are not assertive enough. Its definitely on the belgian side, which does not suit my tastes as an ipa lover. I would say its fairly well representative of the white ipa/belgian ipa style. So i give it points for that. Would make a great summer sipper when a session ipa wont do as well as an intro to the ipa style for newcomers.

Light citrusy hoppy beer. Like a summer pale.

On tap in Atlanta.
This "white IPA" [55 IBU] looks like watery white grapefruit juice with a minimal weak head.

Tart, fruity aroma and flavor with a near moderate bitter finish. Suitably complex flavor.

Poured on draft in the Atlanta airport.

A: Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a soapy two finger white head leaving some heavy lacing.

S: Belgian yeast esters, piney hops, and lemon citrus.

T: Nice crisp hop bite with a touch of citrus. Lemon and Grapefruit. Just a hint of sweetness at the end.

M: Light and refreshing with moderate carbonation. There is almost a sessionable quality to this one,

O: Very drinkable IPA with some similarities to Belgian pale ale or even a saison in some respects.

Light yellow to bright golden in appearance, the head was a thin lace of bright white foam.

The nose is fruity with coconut, cocoa butter, lemon and then finishes with honey sweetness. I do get a sour tart aroma also.

The taste is smooth with honey, clove, coconut cream, green Apple and a sweet caramel malt.

The feel is so easy and smooth with no astringency and a great easy drinkability.

I really enjoyed this White IPA as it had some great malt and fruity hop sweetness but really showcased the coconut tones.

I got a 4 pack of this at Tower in Doraville since I was curious as to what a white IPA was. It's much lighter tasting compared to some other IPA's I have had. Lots of floral and citrus notes, with a slight sweetness. There's a good hoppiness to it but the bitterness isn't overwhelming. Very easy to drink.

Straw (3) with loose white head. Insane hop aroma, very grassy, and a hint of licorice. Up front taste of hops and licorice, citrusy middle, hoppy finish. Lite mouthfeel, slightly oily hop tongue coating. Hopped up, but out of balance with other flavors.

Definitely more Belgian aspects than most White IPAs I've tried—a style growing in popularity, but always in danger of being overseasoned and underhopped. This ale, however, is very well balanced, buoyed by its tacking Belgo via the yeast employed, a restrained hand with the coriander and citric zest, and a decently present use of Citra hops that seem to have been added at multiple stages of the boil, producing both a cleansing bitterness at the base and a floral front of lemon-orange notes.

The aroma is sharp, dry-yeasty, but a little underwhelming; however the the head pours nice and thick, the body is equally effervescent and turbid—almost to the point of opacity, despite the ebullience—and the beer overall rates highly, to my mind, striking a nice balance for a White IPA. It has some subtle ash-wood notes; it employs in great harmony the spice components with the ringing Citra chords; and throughout it's very, very drinkable by virtue of being very, very clean.

Had this a while back at the Brick Store in Decatur, and have been wanting it in bottles ever since. Here we go!

Appearance: Pours a ever so slighly murky/hazy gold. Looks more of a wit than an IPA

Aroma: This is where the beer starts to shine. Belgian yeast is present as well as tropical fruit bomb in your nose. Grapefruit/pineapple/spice all shine through.

Taste: Man, this is a sexy tasting beer. It has the smooth finish of a belgian IPA but definitely has a spice presence that makes this so interesting. Citra hops are definitely present and are quite welcomed.

Mouthfeel: If there is a ever slight down slide, I would say the carbonation is just a bit (and I mean ever so slightly) too much, but it is only noticeable if you really dig for it. This is the only aspect where the on-tap version is better, but hey, when is it not?

Along with Terrapin's WnB, Sweetwater's Second Helping, Burnt Hickory's Cannon Dragger, and Monday Night's BA Draft Kilt, this is up there with some of the best beers that Georgia has to offer. Definitely seek this out if you come across it. This will be a regular in my fridge, right next to A Night in Brussels by Three Taverns.

Thanks to hurleymanvw for this extra!

12oz bottle sealed with pressure cap.

poured into 3 Taverns mini tulip(which was also "extrad" from hurleymanvw #thanksfortheproperglasswaretodrinkthisbeer!)

Appearance: translucent golden straw yellow with 1 full finger of bone white head. Moderate lacing is left behind on the glass and the head has decent staying power.

Smell: Lots of grapefruit zest in the nose. Spicey yeast, white pepper, floral notes, and wheat malts. This almost smells like a saison.

Taste: Mild bitterness in the form of grapefruit zest. Slightly sweet and subtle wheat and crackery malt profile. Moderately spicey, peppery, yeasty, and floral. Some corainder, clove, and a hint of banana sweetness that balances all the spicy notes nicely. I am detecting some tangerines in the finish of this beer, maybe that is where those citra hops are finally surfacing in this beer. Mild bitterness in the finish.

Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Soft, delicate, and creamy carbonation. The beer also has a feel slighty dryiness, probably from the addition of the grapefruit zest into the beer. This is a really crushable beer! Rediculous drinkability.

Overall: What a gem of a local brew coming out of Georgia! I have never heard of this beer nor the brewer, but I was instantly impressed from the first sip. This beer is reminicent of a witbier and saison rolled into one beer. The use of grapefruit zest in this beer was also well done and note worthy. Not a lot of influence from the citra hops, but it really does not matter because this beer was great all around; very solid and hard for me to find flaws about this beer.

Got a growler from The Beer Growler in Avondale back in December. Writing this review from memory.

A - Golden, bubbly, two fingers of white head and excellent lacing. It's a beer that makes you want a beer solely off of appearence.

S - Similar to Night in Brussels with grapefruit, citrus, hops and Belgian yeast, but it lacks the bubblegum notes that you get with A Night in Brussels.

T - This beer has a lot in common with A Night in Brussels, but doesn't have the same hoppy intensity. Citrus is front and center and not far behind are the hops. Wheat, grass, and straw are all present in the background. Some spices are there, I'm guessing coriander and/or cardamom are the main spice(s). The quiet bitterness of the hops is well balanced by the bananaesque flavors of the Belgian yeast. Very nice.

M - Effervescent, light bodied, and smooth. I could really pound these in hot weather.

O - I really enjoyed this beer. In fact my wife and I basically raced to the bottom of the growler. I haven't seen it again since early December. I'm a big fan of A Night In Brussels. I'd say this beer is kind of like it's quieter little brother. I'll be sure to get it again if I see it.

Pours an opaque straw, producing a strong 2 fingers of white, foamy, somewhat lasting head that leaves a thin strings & motes of lace. Aroma is wheat, bread dough & cracker; grapefruit, pineapple, herbal/floral notes & a hint of pine; spice, & something coconut like. Taste is pineapple, grapefruit & orange notes with maybe a slight pine hop hint; wheat & biscuit malts; spice (cloves & maybe ginger?), Belgian yeast with a sweet apple/pear undertone finish. The sweetness of the finish rapidly transitions to more grapefruit/light pine bitter that becomes more dominant in the tropical fruit/citrus aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation, finishing prickly but silky with excellent drinkability.

This unique beverage plays on a few styles and tastes. Hints of grapefruit balance the sweetness of the wheat and bitterness of the hops. This sells very well at my beer garden but only to people with a broad taste profile.
