Look is cloudy lemonade like with a foamy but not fluffy inch of head. Great start with the look and the mildly spicy, floral aroma. If you didnt know better you would not think this an ipa. The taste is where this leaves me wanting. The hops are not assertive enough. Its definitely on the belgian side, which does not suit my tastes as an ipa lover. I would say its fairly well representative of the white ipa/belgian ipa style. So i give it points for that. Would make a great summer sipper when a session ipa wont do as well as an intro to the ipa style for newcomers.

On tap in Atlanta.
This "white IPA" [55 IBU] looks like watery white grapefruit juice with a minimal weak head.

Tart, fruity aroma and flavor with a near moderate bitter finish. Suitably complex flavor.

Poured on draft in the Atlanta airport.

A: Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a soapy two finger white head leaving some heavy lacing.

S: Belgian yeast esters, piney hops, and lemon citrus.

T: Nice crisp hop bite with a touch of citrus. Lemon and Grapefruit. Just a hint of sweetness at the end.

M: Light and refreshing with moderate carbonation. There is almost a sessionable quality to this one,

O: Very drinkable IPA with some similarities to Belgian pale ale or even a saison in some respects.

Light yellow to bright golden in appearance, the head was a thin lace of bright white foam.

The nose is fruity with coconut, cocoa butter, lemon and then finishes with honey sweetness. I do get a sour tart aroma also.

The taste is smooth with honey, clove, coconut cream, green Apple and a sweet caramel malt.

The feel is so easy and smooth with no astringency and a great easy drinkability.

I really enjoyed this White IPA as it had some great malt and fruity hop sweetness but really showcased the coconut tones.

I got a 4 pack of this at Tower in Doraville since I was curious as to what a white IPA was. It's much lighter tasting compared to some other IPA's I have had. Lots of floral and citrus notes, with a slight sweetness. There's a good hoppiness to it but the bitterness isn't overwhelming. Very easy to drink.

Definitely more Belgian aspects than most White IPAs I've tried—a style growing in popularity, but always in danger of being overseasoned and underhopped. This ale, however, is very well balanced, buoyed by its tacking Belgo via the yeast employed, a restrained hand with the coriander and citric zest, and a decently present use of Citra hops that seem to have been added at multiple stages of the boil, producing both a cleansing bitterness at the base and a floral front of lemon-orange notes.

The aroma is sharp, dry-yeasty, but a little underwhelming; however the the head pours nice and thick, the body is equally effervescent and turbid—almost to the point of opacity, despite the ebullience—and the beer overall rates highly, to my mind, striking a nice balance for a White IPA. It has some subtle ash-wood notes; it employs in great harmony the spice components with the ringing Citra chords; and throughout it's very, very drinkable by virtue of being very, very clean.

Had this a while back at the Brick Store in Decatur, and have been wanting it in bottles ever since. Here we go!

Appearance: Pours a ever so slighly murky/hazy gold. Looks more of a wit than an IPA

Aroma: This is where the beer starts to shine. Belgian yeast is present as well as tropical fruit bomb in your nose. Grapefruit/pineapple/spice all shine through.

Taste: Man, this is a sexy tasting beer. It has the smooth finish of a belgian IPA but definitely has a spice presence that makes this so interesting. Citra hops are definitely present and are quite welcomed.

Mouthfeel: If there is a ever slight down slide, I would say the carbonation is just a bit (and I mean ever so slightly) too much, but it is only noticeable if you really dig for it. This is the only aspect where the on-tap version is better, but hey, when is it not?

Along with Terrapin's WnB, Sweetwater's Second Helping, Burnt Hickory's Cannon Dragger, and Monday Night's BA Draft Kilt, this is up there with some of the best beers that Georgia has to offer. Definitely seek this out if you come across it. This will be a regular in my fridge, right next to A Night in Brussels by Three Taverns.
