A Belgian-Style American India Pale Ale. When you've got to jam three countries into the name of the style of your beer, you might want to re-think your beer. Never-the-less...

A: Clear golden yellow in color. Forms a modest creamy white head. Decent retention. Little lacing.

S: Decent aroma. Bread, apple butter, unripe citrus. Some lighter caramel malts. Some faint yeasty phenols.

T: Taste is similar to the aroma - decent, but with little actual character to set this beer apart. Pale malts, biscuit, and a light bit of caramel malt. There is a slightly toasty quality. Very light yeast character. Orange pith. Mildly earthy on the back end.

M: On the lighter side of medium. Moderate carbonation. Mild bitterness, though there is a mild astringent dryness on the back end.

O: It is apparent this beer was brewed to have the greatest mass appeal possible. Of course, the result is an relatively characterless beer that only hints at being either Belgian or an IPA.

Served by brewery staff at the Ponce de Leon Beer Fest. Poured with a rather large head.

Aroma: fruit; honey; light bready malt. Aside from the fruitiness, less hoppy than expected.

Sweet start with a mildly bitter finish.
Quite fruity. Sweet for a beer with this much hop flavor. Excellent balance

Feel: Light body with medium-high carbonation.

A: Pours a rich golden yellow with slight one finger head leaving some light lacing.

S: Sweet malts, candy sugar, and a faint hint if floral hops.

T: Nice blend of sweet malts and floral hops.

M: Medium body with a fair amount of carbonation.

O: Easy drinking and enjoyable, but doesn't really stand out. It could use more prominent hops, more depth of flavor.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on February 2, 2014.

The color of the pour is copper amber with very good, clean clarity building up to a quick lasting fizzy white head.

Instead of an IPA I feel like I am smelling a Belgian Tripel with its yeasty, toasted biscuit, and slightly spicy character. The grassy hops are more muted but there.

Light and refreshing body.

The taste begins with a toasted bready malt character and Belgian sweetness but there is a slightly astringent but likable hop bitterness warming things up from behind. Nice.

Appearance- Served in oversized wine glass. Color is orange with a off-white head. Medium retention.

Smell- Citrus notes, with grapefruit standing out, mixed with a slight belgian yeast aroma. Malty notes as well.

Taste- Citrus with yeast and malt undertones. Alcohol is not as well hidden as it could be.

Mouthfeel- Light and a bit oily. Light carbonation.

Overall- A lighter hop profile for the style, but works nicely. Well-balanced hop, yeast, and malt character. Definitely left an impression and I will be buying this beer again in the future.
