This here is an Amber Ale with a touch of spicy & floral aromas two-stepping with a caramel rich body. A perfectly balanced infantry of malt and hops. It’s your patriotic duty.

Amber ales were among the first beers that I appreciated when I realized that there were good beers out there. This Jekyll lives up to those memories.

Sixer from Publix 12 oz bottles BB date of 3/8/16
Very light ruby colored
Nice hoppy smell more than malt
Tastes like a SN Celebration for some reason, high carbonation and a well crafted finish..not metallic like i have detected in other AA's
Had i bought just a single instead of a six i would go back for a sixer for further research

Pours an opaque deep amber/pale brown with a reddish hue producing 3+ fingers of lasting, beige, frothy head that leaves a wash of streaky, webby lacing. Aroma is toast, toffee, caramel & earthy herbal hops. The mouth is a more intense version of the nose with dark bread, roast, nutty notes, spice, more intense earthy hops than the nose adding yeasty/malty fruity esters. The sip finishes with spice, toffee, roast & nuts, fruit, some pepper & an increasing hop bitterness. Afrertaste is roast, toffee & bitter. While dry there is a sweet tone that develops in the finish but fades rapidly in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium-high carbonation, dry, creamy & silky with a prickly spice.

Pours a hazy light amber with a beige head that quickly fades to head at all.
Aroma: Earth tones, some spicy floral scents and a little bread.
Taste: There is some caramel along with some distant citrus. Kind of flat, and overall lacking.
Has a dry finish with the absence of bitterness. This is part of a 3X4 variety pack I purchased for $17.29. Their Cooter Brown selection was slightly better than this, however, so far, better beer can be purchased for far less.
