Had on tap at the brewery and a growler. The growler was no where near as good as the draft so fresh from tap is the only way. Pour is golden yellow with a deep center and a fairly tight white head with a good bit of lace. Nose has a fair bit of saison yeast and light peppery spice, hops aren’t as strong as I thought but the mosaic gives it a hint of the tropical hop note in back to balance a heavily spicy saison. Taste is much more tropical, saison flavors are up front and lighter than the nose with a moderate peppery spice. Back is super tropical, pineapple and tangerine, faint bitterness through the finish. Light body, soft carb, very delicate. Incredibly tasty.

I absolutely couldn't wait to try this one, so I cracked open the growler for lunch.
The nose at first is so strong with passion fruit that it really blew me away. I poured aggressively and took a whiff right off the bat and it was quite distinct. Unfortunately it dies down after not too long of a time, but a bit of it does remains.
The beer tastes a little thick on the flavor profile, as a lot of Roundabout's beers seem to be. The fruit is there, as it was on the nose. At first there seems to be a kind of a earth/clay thing going on as well in a minimal sense, though it disappears as it warms. Also, as the beer warms the passion fruit seems to show a good bit more. The Belgian ale tones could be a bit more pronounced. But in the end, the passion fruit seems to define this beer and make it a unique one.
The beer-jerk - I mean beer nerd - in me will say that out of Roundabout's saisons, I still consider the Wet-Hopped Still Summer Saison my favorite. This is pretty nice though.
