This place is a gem! The only thing better than the beer selection is the incredibly friendly and knowledgable staff. The owners are equally welcoming to the complete craft beer novice looking to learn about he wonderful world of beer as they are the connoisseur.
If you are in the piedmont of NC and need a good bottle shop, this is the place to go. They often have food trucks parked in the parking lot and often do tastings so they have it all.
Cheers to Stella Brew!

This is a great local shop in Winston. Matt and his crew really do a stellar job making you feel welcome and assisting you in finding what you're looking for. The selection is extensive and the wine variety (even though not relevant to some) has grown as of late. The beer selection is top notch and the growler station is coming soon. Just a great place and atmosphere. Be sure to stop by if you're in town.

Awesome place. Great selection. Owner is a super nice guy, very knowledgeable about beer and the industry. Prices are a dollar or two lower than any others in town. For being a new place, it gets all the big releases. So glad to support a place like this in winston.

This place is awesome!!! It was recommended to me while I was in line at Foothills. They told me to go see Matt and so I did. Gorgeous presentation and a wonderful selection. They had some hard-to-find items on the shelf at very reasonable prices. Matt, the owner, goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and find what you are looking for. I bought a right good amount of stuff and he even threw in some stickers, coozies, and a glass. I wouldn't expect him to that every time, but it was a nice touch for an out-of-towner like myself. He certainly has my business from here on out. Thanks, Matt!!!! Best of luck bro!

Awesome place to stop in Winston for craft beer. Also has wine selection but can't judge that since I do not drink much wine. The owner is awesome and goes out of his way to help you. The store is nicely organized and things are easy to find. Def my go to place in Winston when looking for beer. I def recommend if you are a craft beer fan and in or around the Winston area.

I visited this shop twice, every time i go there the owner makes it a point to say hello. There is a wall of coolers to the left with various chilled bombers/ six packs and a few bottles of wine. They have an awesome selection for just starting out, I'm sure as they sell more the distributor will get them more goodies. This place has been made my new go to place to get beer. Great business all around and cant wait for the growler fills!

Super pumped to see this shop as I drove by one day. Turned right around and popped in. Come by here all the time and never knew this was what was coming in. I am all for another bottle shop option, especially so close to home.
Walking in you are greeted with beer on all fronts. The Left side is dedicated to coolers lining the walls. As far as I know, this is the only place in town that has such a vast selection of chilled singles to create a mixed-sixer - perfect for a stop-by before a get-together or party. They also have a huge selection of chilled bombers which is unheard of in town. Love that option. Selection is vast. Saw some stuff I hadn't spotted anywhere else. Prices seem more reasonable than "other spots" in town as well. They had a few options for glassware, with their logo on it. Looks like I'll be adding that to my collection. The beer is organized really well by style and country so it makes it easy to find what you want.
No taps yet, but I hear that that is in the plan come January first when NC allows growler-fills! Yay! Didn't get to talk to the owner as he was helping someone else out the entire time, but he seemed really knowledgeable and friendly.
Looking forward to making this my new go-to beer stop. Cheers, Stella!

So glad this place opened finally. It's half the distance from my house as total wine and city bev in Winston. Less gas=more $ for beer. Win.
Atmosphere. 5. It's well planned out enough, but they had Grateful Dead Radio playing which is an automatic 5 from me, period. No complaints in this department as I saw many of the same people I see at every other beer store in town.
Quality. 4.5. As good as it gets around here. We are limited in our distro, but everything I look for regularly was there and even some others I haven't seen around. Mainly sours and Belgians. Win. The dates were all very good on date sensitive beers, but I guess that can be expected with new stock. I did not look at any wine.
Service. 4.5. The owner, Matt, and his wife were incredibly friendly and introduced themselves and offered help. I declined and was not asked again, which I greatly appreciate.
Selection. 4.75. Very nice all around. Everything from PBR to 30$ bottles of Hanssens Special reserve Kriek.
No food, and I don't like disc golf, so impartial there.
Price. 5. I put "reasonable" because in no way is craft beer "inexpensive". That said, everything I buy normally, (ruination, death by hops, expedition, etc) were easily a dollar cheaper on 6 packs and large format than Total Wine. Don't even get me started on city beverage's prices and that old dick at the $ register.
Matt did assure me that taps are in the works to be ready for the growler fill law passing on January 1. They are not in a zone where they can do on premise, but I could care less as I'm not interested in high abv beers during daytime hours. And neither is anyone else it appears as city bev had Ruinten on tap for 3 weeks but it sold out in hours in bottles.
Overall, an easy 4.75 overall from me. There's always room for improvement in everything, but I appreciate the quality and care that appears to have been put into this bottle shop. I will frequently purchase here because of price and location alone. Cheers!

Plenty of neighborhood folks were out for the soft opening, and this little corner of Hawthorne has suddenly gotten a lot more inviting for us (I'm looking in your general direction, Fancy Beer Night at Carlisle's).
The shop's set-up was sensible and accessible; lines of coolers to the left, boxes of beer, then shelves of wine, in the middle, and shelves of beer by style to the right. Layout is open, but I worry that storefront windows let in too much light. No direct sunlight, but I'm just picky.
The owner introduced himself to all visitors. He regretted the absence of home brewing supplies, but, really, I think there's space here to start stocking.
It's not City Beverage (also of W-S), and there aren't any taps. Once you get past that, you can grab a No-Da IPA or a pretty nice sour; it seems like the owners stock what they like best of most styles. There are plenty of coolers if you're into fresh beer, and they've labeled themselves some nifty glassware.
Prices are about the same as most other, local retailers.
A great shop, especially if you're around the neighborhood. The main floor seems a little too packed with boxes, so I wonder how fresh most of their stuff will remain. City Bev and TW have the edge, of course, so I think it will be up to neighborhood, a walking-friendly community, to support this.

Attended for the "soft opening" today and the place had a really energetic vibe - lots of people in checking the place out and shopping. I like the decor inside, simple but clean with a nice open feel .The store also sells disc gold discs/supplies.
The place had a lot of different beers offered for sale both chilled and at room temperature. The beers that I checked all had dates well within code and there is no direct sunlight on the beers.
The staff and owners were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
There was a pretty decent selection and the place had just opened - nice choice of beers from local and regional breweries as well as a few I have not seen at other places locally (Buffalo Bill). Almost all of the beer was craft with just a very minimal amount of BMC.
No food was available when I stopped by...not sure if there are any plans for food in the future.
The prices were reasonable, in line with what other shops in the area are charging.
