A dirty amber color with subtle carbonation and a fast white head. The nose is really slight with malts and hops. The drinking starts dry with a mix of hops and malts upfront. A smooth flow that finishes slightly bitter. Flavor notes are a mix with pine, earth, and slight citrus fruit notes. The mouth feel falls on the lighter side.
Overall, I'm just not a fan. To much balance that results in a mixed and meager mess.

Growler of Crooked Ladder 70 West purchased at Beer Store 7/8/16.
Chilled ale poured into an English-style half pint glass. Good amber color and bubbly white head that persists nicely Attractive herbal hoppy aroma. Flavor is predominately hops, slightly unbalanced toward herbal essence without enough lasting bitterness for my palate. Overall another solid local IPA in the modern IPA style.

The beer comes in a clear light amber.
The beer offers grapefruit peel, a sweet bready malt, onto medium plus lingering of pine needles and resin. Lighter on the ABV than some other traditional West Coast IPAs, but follows on the style.

This was a solid IPA. Nothing to great about it but being an IPA lover myself how could you not like it. There are definitely better beers being put out in the area but this is certainly more then drinkable

On tap, pours hazy amber color with a small off white head that left minimal spotty lacing.
Smells of citrus, orange peel, graham cracker, toasted grains, light caramel, lemon zest and floral hops. Herbal and earthy notes make this lean towards American IPA, but it's still mostly English style.
Tastes like it smells with caramel, grapefruit, citrus, orange peel, graham cracker, toasted grains, light caramel, biscuit, lemon zest, tea leaf and floral hops and/or dry grass. Some buttery notes add to the malt backbone and keep it English IPA, nice for that style but not a bold American IPA by any stretch.
