A seasonal summer style produced in Wallonia, the French-speaking part of Belgium. Originally brewed in farmhouses at the end of the cool season to last through the warmer months before refrigeration was common. It had to be sturdy enough to last for months but not too strong to be quenching and refreshing in the summer. Ours is light, spicy, and a true thirst quencher!

I had a growler of this beer for my fantasy football draft. Very enjoyable for a late summer afternoon into evening event.
the beer pours a slightly hazy gold hue with bright white fluffy head that leaves large windowpane lattice on the glass.
The aroma is spicy and a little musty with some citrusy tangy notes mixed in. I think the nose is all yeast driven, enticing and complex.
The first sip reveals an average to light body with fine tingly carbonation. The beer is very easy to drink and interesting.
Flavors are some tangy fruit, maybe lemon or apricot, but also a bit of husky malt, and decent overall complexity.
The booze is well hidden and I dont get any real strong hop profile. This is a great seasonal, hope it comes around again next summer.
