A-The Paddock Club is a bar and upscale restaurant located in the touristy town of Elkhart Lake (near Road America racetrack). I sat in the bar at a hightop table for a late evening dinner on a Sunday evening and the place was crowded with diners and drinkers even at 10:00 p.m. The decor is modern industrial-chic with exposed brick, wood, and black and white photos. The patrons were definitely out-of-towners, but my local friends tell me that locals will eat here during the slower, winter months.

Q-The quality of beer here is decent, but not outstanding. The selection of roughly 40 bottles and cans contains a few solid options, e.g., Bells Two Hearted, and more than a few duds, e.g., Miller 64. The small tap list was also OK, with better-known brews from New Glarus and New Belgium both represented.

Ser-The service was friendly and prompt, and proper glassware accompanied my beers. That being said, my server was not terribly knowledgeable about the beers she served. She did offer good food suggestions, though, so it isn't all bad.

Sel-The number of cans and bottles was on the high side for an upscale place like this in a BMC stronghold like suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And, as noted above, there were a few good craft options in there. The server also mentioned that the beer list rotated frequently, so that sounds promising.

F-The food here is great. I enjoyed a salad and steak, and my wife had a delicious salad and pasta. My steak was particularly tasty. Note, however, that this is upscale food and you will pay for it. Beer prices were also a tad high, but not out-of-line for a tourist town.

All-in-all, I can recommend this place to BAs just looking for a drink or good meal while in Elkhart. It would be especially good for a mixed group of BAs and non-BAs because the wine list was very solid and they had a fully-stocked bar with some tasty-sound cocktails.
