Well, there just aren't many choices for craft beer in Mississippi.
Fire Ant hit the spot and with an abv of 8%, has a good kick to it. Southern Prohibition beers are not cheap but reasonable I suppose. Typically $7-8 for a four pack of 16 oz. cans.
I'll be in MS for awhile and will be drinking more Fire Ant.

A: Deep reddish brown with two fingers of frothy off-white head that fades to a nice splotchy lace.
S: Citrus, fresh-cut grass, pine, and some oak. Grapefruit, lemon and orange all at play, not mind-blowing though. Definitely some west coast hops in there.
T: A bit malty at first with some caramel and bread but the hops come through with nice pine, citrus fruit, and even a touch of oak. Nice bitterness at play.
M: Medium bodied with moderate bitterness balanced with some sweetness. Pretty easy drinking for it's size and alcohol is masked well.
O: A tasty amber - or "imperial" amber here and can't complain about the tallboy can format. I've enjoyed everything from this brewery thus far.
