poured this beer at cellar temperature into a snifter. The beer is a clear copper hue with an offwhite head of 1 cm that fades to a sturdy edge layer fairly rapidly after the pour.
Aroma is mild with grainy notes and light fruit with just a hint of a phenol medicinal scent in the background.
The first sip reveals an average body and average carbonation that rolls across my palate.
Flavor is bready yeast and sweet fruit, white grape is what I get, and again just a little medicinal hit on the finish. THere is also a peppery bite on the finish from the alcohol. Otherwise the beer is fairly easy to drink.
Not overly complex but still enough mixed flavors to make you think some while drinking, but not get lost in translation.
A good beer from a new brewery in Connecticut.
